“Encouragement from ‘God’ – 101”…Blog.



Recently someone said to me… “I haven’t had ‘any’ encouragement from anyone calling themselves a ‘Christian’ since I started posting here on Face Book.” Often times we may receive no encouragement from others. It can be disheartening to some and discouraging to others. So where does our encouragement come from? Or perhaps even a more complex question, “Where should we get our encouragement from?” Sorry FB does not give out… “Kudos!”

There are many songs… that address this problem. “You” were on my mind and “You” made it all seem ok. “You” were the one, that made the day, the troubles, the things and stress me… and “You” made it go away. Never once is the “Person” identified in this song or the many others that seem to… ‘Music Away’… our ‘pressures and trials’, of life. So too… many of us take this type of… “Positive Thinking”… to chase away our problems of life.

Could it be as simple as “Love”…? How about if you are single like I am? Where do I get my ‘validation’ for life? This is one of my favorite “60’s” songs. Often I have said, ‘Every song is a Sermon!’ In reality, many of us live in a… ‘Music’… frame of mind, drawing on songs to fulfill our emotional need for validation. Some drive a Corvette or even a Porsche for that validation. Still with others, it is their ‘career field’ that gives them validation. Oh yes, even one’s family can bring them that validation. But what happens when all our “Earthly Props”… are taken away…?

(1Samuel 30:3-to-6) And David and his men came to the city, and behold, it was burned with fire, and their wives and their sons and their daughters had been taken captives.
(1Sam 30:4) And David and the people with him lifted up their voice and wept, until they had no more power to weep.
(1Sam 30:5) And David's two wives had been seized, Ahinoam of Jezreel, and Abigail, the former wife of Nabal of Carmel.
(1Sam 30:6) And it greatly distressed David, for the people spoke of stoning him, because the soul of all the people was grieved, each one for his sons and for his daughters. = But = David = encouraged himself = in Jehovah = his God.

David, who was ‘to be’ the next, King of Israel… went through many trials of life. His band of 600 men returned from battle to find all their “Earthly Possessions”… taken away, even their wives and children. Perhaps take some time to read 1Samuel and see what took place. Please note the “KEY” for all encouragement. It is from “Jehovah God – Alone!” No one else, no other possession, for they were all gone. The houses burned with fire and their families taken, maybe, ‘never’ to be seen again. “But = David = encouraged himself = in Jehovah = his God”.

(Mark 1:35) And = in the morning, = rising up = a great while = before day, = He [Jesus] = went out, = and = departed = into a solitary place, = and = there prayed.


Do you meet with ‘Your’… “Heavenly Father”…? Christ Jesus had over… ‘12-plus hour’ …ministry days. His disciples were often with Him ‘when’ no one else was, always asking Him to explain His Parables. Is you day busy? Are there many demands on your time and emotions? Is there no hope of the lessoning of these demands and still you must go on? Perhaps you think that if something does not help you… very soon ‘you’ will… “Unravel and Come Apart?” Do you think your day was any more busy that that of “Christ Jesus”. He was always ‘hounded’ by the religious of His day, because He held forth the Truth of God’s Word.

(2Corinthains 4:16-17) That's why = we are not = discouraged. = No, = even if = our outer man = is wearing out, = our = inner man = is being renewed = day by day.
(2Cor 4:17) This light, = temporary nature = of our suffering = is producing = for us = an eternal weight of glory, = far beyond = any comparison,

When I was a new Christian… I heard a sermon on meeting with Christ in His Word… daily as He met with His Father [Mark 1:35]. I determined… ‘by the grace of God’… that I would ‘do’ the same. I planned to get up ‘one hour early’ and meet with Him in His Word, The Bible. I have done this even though, some times in my work life, I worked “8-10-12-hour days!” For over 30 plus years I have met with Him… ‘almost’ every morning… in His Word.

(1Samuel 3:21) And = Jehovah = appeared again = in Shiloh. = For = Jehovah = revealed = Himself = to Samuel = in Shiloh = by = the Word = of Jehovah.


Where did my strength… come from when I had cancer surgery and radiation? What did I do when I was unemployed for a year? What happened when I just about ‘lost my leg’ from a simply arthroscopic surgery that got infected…? All these trials and many more… were simply from the Lord and are common… to ‘all’ mankind. Yet in all these, the Word of God… gave me the inner strength and encouragement… “To keep on keeping on!”

Once I cried because I had ‘no’ shoes… and then I saw a man… that had ‘no’ feet…!


(Job 2:10) But he = said to her, = You speak as = one of the foolish ones speak. = What? = Shall we receive good = at the hand of God, = and shall we not receive evil? = In all this = Job did not = sin with his lips.

Where does your ‘Encouragement’… come from? If it does not come from The Lord and His Word… then what you use… is not going to help you through the trials of life. People, family, things, songs and the like are “Absolutely No Substitute”… for the ‘Word of God’. All those other ‘things’ will pass away, then what will you have? Perhaps a refocus on the Truth of God and His Word…?

(Matthew 24:35) The heaven = and the earth = shall = pass away, = but = My Words = shall ‘not’ = pass away.

Have you ever planned… for an extended vacation or trip? Or perhaps, the purchase of a car or a house? It took some ‘definite’ planning. IF you want to meet with Christ in His Word, so you too… have to plan it out. The children of Israel got Manna in the morning before the sun arose. After that, it evaporated [Exodus 16]. So too, when we make plans to meet with Christ in His Word, we must make it a “Priority”. Someone said to me, “I am not a ‘Morning’ person, how do you, expect me to get up early? You do, when you are on vacation, don’t you? Besides I am not your ‘Mother’… you have to get up yourself. …LOL!


(1Corinthains 9:25-26-27) Everyone who enters =an athletic contest = practices self-control = in everything. = They do it to win = a wreath that dies, = but we = to win one = that never dies.
(1Cor 9:26) That is = the way I run, = with a clear goal in mind. = That is = the way I box, = not like someone = punching the air.
(1Cor 9:27) No, = I keep on = beating my body = and making it = my slave = so that, after = I have preached = to others, = I myself will = not somehow = be disqualified.

“Self Discipline”… is what anyone needs to excel in ‘any’ area of Life! You have to motivate your “You”… if your, meeting with God in His Word, is important to you…? God does not force Himself and His Truth from His Word, the Bible… on “Anyone”. We simply have, ‘Free Will’… and with that we chose to ‘meet’ with Him… or… “Not?” It takes a… ‘priority thinking’… in life to do anything worthwhile. Do you need encouragement from God and His Word. He is ‘Not’… Santa… and will not give it to you… if you are ‘not’ going to find it there in His Word.

(Jeremiah 29:13) And = you shall seek Me = and find Me, = when you search for Me = with = “all” = your heart.

(Proverbs 1:7) The fear of Jehovah = is the beginning of knowledge; = but fools = despise wisdom = and = instruction.
I use a Giant Print [18 point] Bible… because there is lots of room on the pages to make ‘my’ notes. In addition I also have a note pad to write down special verses so that I may memorize them. You may be given a ‘special’ insight to God’s Truth, as your make your way through The Word of God. You may go to Bible School… or you can allow the “Holy Spirit” to teach you… directly from the Word. I prefer the second, as many hold to the opinions of others. I prefer, what God has said Himself… in His Word. Remember Christ Jesus said… “It Is Written!”
(John 16:13-14-15) However, = when He, = the Spirit of Truth, = has come, = He = will guide you = into all Truth. = For = He shall not = speak of Himself, = but whatever = He hears, = He shall speak. = And = He will reveal = to you = things to come.
(John 16:14) He will glorify Me, = for He will receive = of Mine = and will reveal it = to you.
(John 16:15) All things = that the Father has = are Mine. = Therefore = I said that = He = will take of Mine = and will = reveal it = to you.

One day I stopped by… a Christian Bookstore, to examine a Bible before I went and searched on line for a better price. Thousands of Books, by Thousands of Authors… “All”… trying to tell you about God and His Word. Those that have the Holy Spirit by being Born Again… simply can allow “Him”… to teach you… “God’s Truth from God’s Word”. One simple question, “Do you want an opinion from another, however ‘right or wrong’ it may be…?” Or would you be taught by God’s Holy Spirit… from the Word of God…? “Free Will = You Choose!”

(Psalms 119:97-to-104) MEM: Oh how I love Your Law! It is my meditation all the day.
(Psalms 119:98) Through Your Commandments You make me wiser than my enemies, for they are ever with me.
(Psalms 119:99) I have more understanding than all my teachers; for Your testimonies are my prayer.
(Psalms 119:100) I understand more than the old men, because I keep Your Commandments.
(Psalms 119:101) I have kept my feet from every evil way, so that I might keep Your Word.
(Psalms 119:102) I have not departed from Your judgments; for You have taught me.
(Psalms 119:103) How sweet are Your Words to my taste! More than honey to my mouth!
(Psalms 119:104) Through Your Commandments I get understanding; therefore I hate every false way.

Where do I start…? I have been asked that question many times. I suggest that you first read the Gospel of Luke. It is full of systematically aligned Truths about the ministry of Christ, as Luke was a Physician. Matthew looks at the life of Christ from a Jewish Mindset, revealing that Christ Jesus is the promised Messiah. Set you length of reading with a timer, i.e. the microwave timer. You can’t run long distance till you are in shape. Plan your time with Christ in His Word!

One final thing…? You need to ‘prepare’ your heart, before any Bible Study. Please see… “2Chronicles 12:14 and Ezra 7:10”. I start my day with my hot coffee, my favorite chair and Bible. I meet with Christ and ‘Our Father’… in His Word… as He met with His Father… “Mark 1:35!” Perhaps start this discipline… and you will have your Encouragement… from Him and… not from other people or things.

Perhaps what we learn is that… “Unless we know history, we are soon to Repeat it!”

Do you want your name in with those that ‘Do Not’… believe the Bible as you do? How about if a “Jehovah Witness”, who are not Biblical Christians… sign this document? Now as to the context… of that document. If you will simply read it, you will see that it ‘Does Not’ hold one accountable to God Alone… for their actions. Simple Question: “Do you believe All the Bible from Genesis 1:1 to Revelation 22:21…?” If you say ‘Yes’, then you are correct for it is the “Truth of God!” Can you read the Manhattan declaration and say that… it ‘contains’… the same Truth… of the “Word of God?” No you cannot, because, man’s ‘opinions’ are added into it.

(Numbers 23:19) God = is ‘not’ = a man = that = He should Lie, = Neither = the son of man = that He = should repent. = Has He said, = and = shall He = not do it? = Or has = He spoken, = and = shall He = ‘not’ = make it good?


In another of my Blogs… I made the statement that Satan’s Camp… is in the Church. No not in the real body and bride of Christ Jesus… but in the organized Church. He comes as an… ‘Angel of Light’ along with his ministers and workers… “2Corinthains 11:13-14-15.”… The world is blinded already as well as those that have 'REJECTED'… “The Finished work of Christ Jesus, the Messiah!” …“2Corinthains 4:3-to-6.”… How much more… with such a document, such as the Manhattan Declaration…?

How many times… have you read in the Gospels where, “Christ Jesus”… derided the ‘Religious’ of His day, for their “Substitution” of the Word of God… by their… “Tradition of the Elders?” Is this not the same thing we are experiencing today? If you are old enough [senior], you will remember the… “I Found IT” campaign and maybe even the “Moral Majority?” There were the same thing, “Smoke without Fire!” The Moral Majority was… Neither!

(Mark 7:7-8-9) However, = they worship Me = in ‘vain’, = teaching = for doctrines = the ‘commandments of men’."
(Mark 7:8) For = laying aside = “the commandment of God”, = you hold = the ‘tradition’ of men, = the dipping of pots and cups. = And “MANY” = other such things = you do.
(Mark 7:9) And He [Jesus] = said to them, = Do you ‘do well’ = to “set aside” = “the commandment of God”, = so that = ‘you’ = may keep = your own = tradition?

So too today… many of the Denominations have ‘put away’… so very much of the Bible! So today even many of the Churches have ‘ordained’… “Homosexual Men & Women Pastors!” And yet, those ‘sitting in the pews’… have gone as though there… “Were Nothing Wrong?” So the decline of those that… ‘Really Believe’… “The Bible to be the Only Authority”… for those that are ‘Really Born Again’… “Real Child of God!”… is Obvious to those that… “Really ‘Know’ Jesus!”

(Matthew 7:21-22-23) Not = ‘everyone’ = who says to “Me” [Jesus], = Lord! = Lord! = shall enter = the kingdom of Heaven, = but = he who ‘does’ = the will [Word] =of My Father in Heaven.
(Matt 7:22) “MANY” = will say = to Me = in that day, = Lord! = Lord! = Did ‘we’ = not prophesy = in Your name, = and = through = Your name = throw out demons, = and = through Your name = do = “MANY” = wonderful works?
(Matt 7:23) And then = I [Jesus] = will say = to ‘them’ = I = “Never” = knew “You!” = Depart from Me, = those working = lawlessness!

Have you signed their ‘document’…? Have they provided an ‘option’… to un-sign your signature from it? That is the first thing you need to look for. Most legal documents have an ‘option to rescind’ to protect all parties. Many do not know about this option. Perhaps I may ask you, have you ever known of any petition that has brought about any real social change? Prohibition of alcohol only brought a criminal enterprise which did ‘more harm than good’. Man’s futile attempts to… “Leave the God of the Bible”… out of society has… “Only Caused More Problems”. So too will this… “Manhattan Declaration”.

“SOME”… have so Sugar Coated the Gospel… that they ‘Never’… speak of the “Coming Eternal Damnation”… of those that… “Reject God and His Word”…!


Do you as a Christian… share the Truth of the Word of God… with your friends? There are many sites on the internet and I constantly see… “Claiming Christians”… substituting writings of others, videos, musical presentations for the Holy Word of God! Where in the Scriptures… are we told to do… such things? “…No Where!” Some misguided persons do not really believe the Scriptures… and… what we are told in them…?



(Jude 1:20-to-23) But you, beloved, building yourselves up in your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Spirit,
(Jud 1:21) keep yourselves in the love of God, eagerly awaiting the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ to everlasting life.
(Jud 1:22) But pity some, making distinction.
(Jud 1:23) But save others with fear, snatching them out of the fire; hating even the garment having been stained from the flesh.


(1Corinthains 16:22) If anyone does not love the Lord Jesus Christ, let him be accursed. The Lord comes!


(1Peter 4:17-18) For the time has come for the judgment to begin from the house of God. And if it first begins from us, what will be the end of those disobeying the gospel of God?
(1Pet 4:18) And if the righteous one is scarcely saved, where shall the ungodly and the sinner appear?


(2Corinthains 5:10-11) For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ, so that each one may receive the things done through the body, according to that which he has done, whether good or bad.

(2Timothy 4:2-3-4) Preach the Word, be instant in season and out of season, reprove, rebuke, exhort with all long-suffering and doctrine.
(2Tim 4:3) For a time will be when they will not endure sound doctrine, but they will heap up teachers to themselves according to their own lusts, tickling the ear.
(2Tim 4:4) And they will turn away their ears from the truth and will be turned to myths.


(Ezekiel 2:7) And you shall speak My Words to them, whether they will hear or whether they will forbear, for they are rebellious.


(Jeremiah 1:8) Do not be afraid of their faces; for I am with you to deliver you, says Jehovah.


Isn’t it about time ‘You’… left off all those ‘Religious Trappings’… and went back to the Pure Milk of the Word of God [1Peter 2:2-3]…? Preaching of the Word of God… is the way to lead people to Christ Jesus! I have had people tell me, “I don’t want to ‘turn off’ anyone from Jesus!” Well, they are turned off Already! You speaking the Words of God… will only fulfill the Command of Scripture to You! Do you know what that Command of Scripture to You… “IS?”


(Ezekiel 3:18-to-21) When I say to the wicked, You shall surely die; and you do not give him warning, nor speak to warn the wicked from his wicked way, to save his life; the same wicked one shall die in his iniquity; but I will require his blood at your hand.
(Ezek 3:19) Yet if you warn the wicked, and he does not turn from his wickedness nor from his wicked way, he shall die in his iniquity; but you have delivered your soul.
(Ezek 3:20) And when the righteous turns from his righteousness and commits iniquity, and when I lay a stumbling block before him, he shall die. Because you have not given him warning, he shall die in his sin, and his righteousness which he has done shall not be remembered; but his blood I will require at your hand.
(Ezek 3:21) But if you warn the righteous so that the righteous does not sin, and if he does not sin, he shall surely live because he is warned; also you have delivered your soul.

A late ‘Internet’ report… revealed that “NONE” of any of the TV networks will reveal the information that… “Santa Clause is Dead!” The ongoing ‘cover up’ by the major networks has left many still believing in him. Many ‘fakes’ have been reported seen in the major stores and shopping malls. Even some of the younger children know that… ‘the fakes’… are not real. Their “screams and cries”… reveal that, as the parents place them on ‘his lap’… is a sure sign! …LOL!

This picture is enough proof… for ‘anyone’ of a sound mind. I ‘never’ believed that song, “Santa Clause is coming to town!” I had just turned 5 that year and my parents had closed off the spare play room, telling we children that there was ‘no heat’ in there. Before I left for school, I climbed up and got the door handle and ‘Peeked’… into the room. Some time the next year, I spoke this to my mother, “I will not tell my brother and sister, but please don’t try and tell me that there is a Santa!” Then I revealed the… “National Parental Lie”… there is No Santa.

Can you imagine… Someone that has the… “Same ‘Omniscient Ability’ of God, the God of the Bible”… to tell IF you have been good or bad; or if you have been sleeping or awake? Wow…! I never believed such things, nor did I believe in the Easter Bunny. When I was older… I never even believed in the ‘Cleveland Indians’! I only knew about the ‘American Indians’… whose property we stole, even though our government took their land without payment. Yes even Manhattan island was stolen for about $24 in trinkets.

(Matthew 7:13-14) Go in = through = the ‘narrow’ gate, = for wide = is the gate = and = broad is the way = that leads = to ‘destruction’, = and = “MANY” = there are = ‘who’ = go in = through it.
(Matt 7:14) Because = ‘narrow’ = is the gate = and = constricted is = the way = which leads = to [Eternal] life, =and = there are = “FEW” = who = find it.

Do you realize… that implying to someone… that they could ‘win’ God’s favor, by being ‘Only Partially’, ‘Sometimes Only’… “Being Partially Good”… and still be “Rewarded in the End?” “Absolute Hogwash!” You see… every song… is a sermon. This early brainwashing of ‘Children’… to try and get them to behave… will not work. “Just say NO” and “Say No to Drugs”… has not stopped the ‘Four-Trillion-Dollar’… “Illegal drug trade”… going on in this United States of America.

Most Celebrate Christmas… even a few of my Jewish friends. That way they, ‘double dip’… celebrating Hanukkah and Christmas. So too some other celebrations have be begun by some ‘minority’ splinter groups… who “Demand equal rights”… with the Christians. Have you noticed… the “Anti God”… mentality that has slowly creped in? I always wish some a Merry Christmas, and yet a friend who works at “Wal-Mart”… was told by management… “ONLY to wish the customers a Happy or Merry Holiday!”

(Amos 8:11) Behold, = the days come, = says the Lord Jehovah, = that = I = will send = “A FAMINE” = in the land; = ‘not’ = a famine of bread = nor = a thirst for water, = but = of hearing = the Words = of Jehovah.


When I went to Public School… everyone celebrated Christmas. We even had Bible Reading each morning over the loud speaker. God was accepted in almost every area of academia in the classroom. But Now… our nation has departed from Christmas… and seldom does one hear the Real Christmas Story! Bibles are not to be found in public schools, no not even in the Library. Textbooks have been changed to be ‘politically correct’… which is really socially wrong.

Say it isn’t so…? When did you last hear, ‘Merry Christmas’ from a sales clerk? They even have a “Santa Clause”… on the top of a ‘manger scene’… depicting the birth place of Christ. Yes right on top of the Manger with His bag of Tricks…! Even so… China now has a “Christ-Less Christmas” as it there too, has become a big, Economic Sales Season. What has become of… The Christ of Christmas. No longer do… ‘wise men’… seek Him!

(Luke 2:8-to-12) And = in the same country = there were shepherds = living in the field, = keeping watch over = their flock by night.
(Luke 2:9) And lo, = the angel of the Lord = came on them, = and = the glory of the Lord = shone around them. = And = they were grievously afraid.

Sorry No… ‘Christ Jesus’… was ‘not’ born on December 25. It is too cold in December to be living in the field with sheep. It even ‘snows’ in December with an average temperature of 47-to-56 degrees. But the day… is not the ‘issue’… it is “WHO” was born… Promised by the Word of God? What did He come to earth for? What do “you” have to do with Him?

Do you have something to ‘Say’…? No, I don’t mean babble, but something of importance, to say? Or perhaps you have a ‘strong opinion’ on a particular subject or ‘subjects’. If you, have been reading my blogs, you know that I do. ‘Some’ that read them, “complain” that they are too long. Just perhaps, they have discarded their ‘mental skills’ and replace them with… the hour ‘TV’ program or even a longer ‘Video’? ‘Some’ simply disagree with them… without any… ‘Cognitive or Logical’… “Response”. Still, ‘Some’ just believe ‘anything’ at all. You know like… ‘Santa Clause’, the ‘Easter Bunny’ or… even… the “Cleveland Indians”…! …LOL!

So just why… did I choose this topic? Today, one of my ‘good friends’ sent message on Face Book and asked when… was my ‘next’ blog? I remarked that I try to post when I have something responsible or pertinent to say. I try not to be… ‘Vain or Self Diluted’… in thinking that I have… ‘all’ the answers. I simply present, what I write… simply to get others… “To Think ‘Things’ Through!” IF you text [which I do not]… that would be… “TTTT” or “4T”…! …LOL!

You may have seen me… use the term, “God, the God of the Bible!” That is because ‘Many’ speak about God, but it is the God of their Religion. This does not necessarily mean, “The God of the Bible”… even their religion is called, “Christian?” Many of the Christian Sects or Denominations are just… “Man’s Opinion”… about the God of the Bible. The do “NOT”… hold to the “Complete Authority” of the Scriptures, The Bible. Islam speaks about God and Jesus… and yet… it is NOT the God of the Bible.

When I write Blogs… I am in reality ‘teaching’ or ‘sharing’… what I have learned by life and by the Word of God. Sorry no, I am not a pastor or a teacher, but one that… “Loves Christ Jesus, the Messiah”… and want you to know Him too. No one can ‘really’ love Him without trying, by His Grace, to point Others to Him, for the Eternal Salvation of their souls. Do you know what Jesus said about this issue…? If you Jesus is not called…Jesus the Messiah… he is ‘NOT’ the Jesus of the Bible! That is why ‘Christ’… means “Messiah – the promised Redeemer of God!”

So too it is and has been for all of ‘Mankind’. This salvation through the… “Finished Work of Christ Jesus the Messiah”… is presented “To All”… peoples, kindred’s and nations. God, Who is faithful and just and righteous could ‘NOT’ provide this… “To just ‘some’ and ‘not’ to Others.” He has revealed Himself in many ways but first and foremost by… “His Holy Spirit”.

Ever wonder “Why”… Lying, Stealing, Cheating or Adultery… is wrong in every nation on earth? Then there is the ‘Creation’ and it is… marvelous and slanderously grandeur…? Anyone claiming to be an ‘atheist’ will disagree with the “Designer Concept” of creation. His or her excuse is that it just evolved. Yet they will not deny… the “Fact of Gravity”… when flying in a plane or standing atop a very tall building. Think Outside the Box…! I like Blogs and have developed a taste for them. I am an adult and like to have interactions with other ‘Adults’. But some are adult only in Body… and still a ‘Child’ in mine and emotions. Again, whose “Truth”… are you willing to accept? Unless you are like the ‘Sloth’… you will have to take some action against the… “Lie/Lies!” To say nothing… is worse than the ‘Wrong’ they are trying to shove down our throats. There are so many areas in which this has happened, which one do I choose to defend? Many a time, our media will produce a… ‘red herring’… to get us off track. Since when is… “Health Care”… a right and not a privilege? If the government could not get Medicare to work… what makes anyone think… that a ‘replacement’ will work…? And yes, who will pay for the health care of the… “14-to-25-million Illegal Aliens?” We will with Higher Taxes…!

It is simply… “God’s Truth… found in His Word, the Bible”. “IF”… we believe in God and hold His Word to be Truth… “THEN”… He must have provided His Answer to the… “Problems of Life!” Simply finding that answer… can and will… provide a solution. But mankind in his or her life… wants things their way… and not God’s Way. Hence… we have problems without… solutions.

(Exodus 20:19-20) And = they = said to Moses, = You speak with us, = and = we will ‘hear’. = But = let ‘not’ = God = speak with us, = lest we die.

How many times… have you slowed down driving when a ‘cop’ has pulled someone over? Was it because you were being ‘safe’… or was it because you were… ‘speeding?’ So too, as the Israelites did not want to… ‘Hear God’… today “MOST”… never open their Bibles to see what God has to say to you. Their reasoning goes something like this… “Perhaps I can get away with ‘XYZ’… is I do not know about it.” … Not So! Ignorance is no excuse with the IRS – Internal Revenue Service! So too… do you ‘really believe’ that God… is less stringent than they about “Hiding Wrong?”

You will ‘suddenly’ find… all sorts of distractions and a plethora of excuses… to keep you ‘out of’ God’s Word… the Bible. Phone calls, job responsibilities, family cares and all… simply to keep you from… the Word. Even when I was working… ‘8-10-12- hour days’… I got up… one hour early… to spend time in the Word. I find that it sets my… ‘mindset’… for that day and I easily order the day’s responsibilities. It will not happen overnight. But simply ask God… to help you!

Did you get up early… to go shopping today? I was up before 5AM and went to my local Home Depot where I purchased a… “Rigid – 16 gallon ‘wet/dry’ Vac”… for the ridiculous price of “$19.95”. The list was ‘$99.95’ and surprisingly there were about 60 in the store. Not so when I immediately left and went to Staples… for their “8-Gig memory stick, pro-duo”… for $24:95… but they had less than 20 and were out at 6:30 AM. I haven’t done this early shopping in many years.

As our economy is based… on the free enterprise system, consumers are often persuaded to get more and more. Our current… “National Economic Crisis”… is based on… ‘People’ buying ‘Things’… they could ‘Not Afford’… that they ‘Really “DID NOT” Need’… with unsecured borrowing… which has led to “Massive Personal Debt!” As our countries ‘national unemployment numbers’ approaches depression era standards we just keep ‘Spending’ and ‘Spending’ and ‘Spending!’ Bankruptcies’ are at an all time high!

(Romans 7:7) What = shall we say = then? = Is the law sin? = God forbid. = Nay, = I had not known sin, = but by the law: = for I had not known lust, = except the law had said, = Thou shall = ‘not’ = covet.

“I want” or “I need”… must be the ‘criteria’ of personal choice. The second question is… “Is this item essential for my daily living?” Some years ago my computer died. Up until it crashed, I had continued to upgrade my old one. I did not have the funds to purchase another computer… so I went to the Public Library… and used the computer there. I waited and saved and finally… “Purchased a ‘new’ one!”

(Proverbs 28:22) He = who hastens = to be rich = has = an evil eye, = and = does not know = that poverty = will come upon him.

“More is Better”… is the advertising mindset to get the consumer to… “Buy More!” How about this… “Less is More?” I haven’t struggled, with ‘too much’, with money, even though I do ‘not’ have a lot. I have just what “God”… the God of the Bible… “Can trust ‘me’ with!” Sure all of us have at one time entertained the ‘Fantasy of the Lotto!’ A USF professor wrote a book researching… ‘100 – people’… that had won the lottery. 98 of them were in worse shape, ‘Financially!’ Wealth has been the ‘moral ruin’ of many a family.

(Luke 12:15) And = He [Jesus] = said to them, = Watch = and = keep yourselves = from covetousness. = For = a man's life = “Is ‘Not’ In” = the abundance = of the things = which he = ‘possesses’.


What can you, “live without”…? Perhaps as the number of homeless people and especially ‘families’ increases… many are learning a lesson. I heard one single parent, who was living in a car with her two children say… that she was so ‘thankful’, to be back in a “One Bedroom Apartment!” Today, many have to have separate bedrooms, for each of the children, so that they can ‘each’ have their… ‘own space.’ Most of the world has to share rooms… why are ‘Americans’ so narrow minded… that they ‘cannot’ [will not], learn that lesson.

(1Thessalonians 5:18) In = ‘everything’ = give thanks, = for = this is = the will of God = in Christ Jesus = concerning ‘you’.


“Discipline”, is simply a word for ‘Training’. Olympic athletes train for hours, days and even years… to shave “Thousandths of a Second”… off their time in their sport. And yet they do it to earn the Gold, Silver or even Bronze. Self discipline is a ‘Learned Trait.’ English is my ‘mother tongue’ but I have to ‘discipline’ myself to learn another language. I have been ‘dabbling’ in Spanish since high school. I have also ‘dabbled’ in several other languages. But to really learn the fluency in another language, one needs to be able to… “Think in ‘that’ Language.”

(Philippians 2:5) For = let = this mind = be in you = which was also = in Christ Jesus,

(John 6:38) For = I [Jesus] = came down = from Heaven, = not to do = My = own will = but = the will = of Him [God] = Who sent Me.

About now… you can see where this is going. Is Christ Jesus the Messiah… your Lord & Savior? Did you know that “Lord means Boss?” If you love Him, isn’t it about time… that you begin to… ‘Act as though you do?’ You spending is… ‘part & parcel’… of that life in Christ. Yes, we all like ‘new’ things and to be able to have ‘new’ things, but are some of them… “Really Necessary?”

(Luke 10:39-to-42) And she = had a sister = called Mary, = who also = sat at Jesus' feet = and = heard His word.
(Luke 10:40) But Martha = was distracted = with much serving [entertaining] = And = she came to Him [Jesus] = and said, = Lord, = do You not care = that my sister = has left me = to serve alone? = Therefore = tell her = to help me.
(Luke 10:41) And = Jesus answered = and said to her, = Martha, = Martha, = you are anxious = and = troubled = about many things.
(Luke 10:42) But one thing is needful, = and = Mary = has chosen that good part, = which shall ‘not’ = be taken away from her.

Do you entertain… in your home? Do you have to have the best China and Crystal and Silver ware? I know of a ‘missionary family’ that comes back to the USA every five years. When one comes over to visit with them, they serve either “Bologna & cheese” or “Peanut butter & jelly” sandwiches’ for the meal. The time with them is “always precious”… for the things that Christ is doing in other countries and in their lives.

(Luke 16:11-12) So = ‘if’ = you = have ‘not’ = been faithful = with unrighteous riches, = who = will trust you with = “True Wealth?” [1John 2:4]
(Luke 16:12) And = if = you have ‘not’ = been faithful = with what belongs to foreigners [another], = who will give you = what is = your own?

I will not pretend… to tell how to use the resources that ‘God’ has entrusted to you, nor would I dare to. May I simply suggest that… “Less is More?” Yes, I did look at that Laptop that was on sale today… and decided against it, as it is a ‘toy’ and “not a necessity”… as I already have a one year old desktop. What about that purchase that you are thinking about for Christmas? Are you going to put yourself in [more] debt… because you… “Owe it to Yourself”… to get that… “???”

(Luke 14:28-29-30) For = which of you, = intending to build a tower, = does not sit down = ‘first’ = and = “count the cost”, = whether he = may have = enough = to finish it;
(Luke 14:29) lest perhaps, = after he has = laid the foundation = and = is not able = to finish, = all = those seeing = begin to mock him,
(Luke 14:30) saying, = This man = began to build = and = was not able = to finish.

How about turning… ‘Black Friday’… into “Green Friday”, simply by keeping… the “Green”… for something you need instead of… ‘something’ you want? You or I or Anyone… does not need an excuse to spend money. We do it because it gives us a… “Feeling of control”… which is merely an illusion. When the bills come due… “That is the reality!” The ‘option’ of returning it, ‘Now’… is always there…!

This week… many Americans will celebrate this National Holiday. The Canadians celebrated their Thanksgiving day back in October. I remember the first time I did ‘not’ celebrate Thanksgiving. I was in the service overseas and even though the “Mess Hall had Turkeys”… it was not the same. This holiday is often the major holiday of the year. But what about Christmas? The ‘Office or Workplace’ Christmas Parties have become an excuse for License and Drinking. Hardly reflective of the real Christmas.

Most ‘do not’ know the real story… about Thanksgiving celebrated by the Capt. John Smith and the Plymouth Plantation. Many that came to this ‘new country’… did so to escape persecution brought about by… the Catholic and the Church of England. I remember reading this in my public school history book. The history books of today… reflect ‘Political Correctness’… and leave out these ‘important’ facts. Our American history has been dumb down… to remove… any thought of God working in our history.

(1Timothy 6:6-7-8) But = godliness = with contentment = is = great gain.
(1Tim 6:7) For = we = brought nothing = into the world, = and = it is clear = that = we can carry = nothing out.
(1Tim 6:8) But = having food = and = covering, = we will be = content.

I have both lived… and worked overseas… and know firsthand some of the conditions of ‘Others’ living in those areas. We here in America can get a drink of “Clean Drinking Water” almost anytime we want. We have food and housing and many things we take for granted. Most Americans… “Are NOT Thankful”… for what they have. They seem to what… more and better… and do not know what they really have.

Many ‘never’ think… about being “Thankful to God” for all we have here. The Entertainment industry has so filled our minds with the “Part” attitude that all we can think about is… “More of this or that. Few are thankful for their Houses, Cars or even their Families. Most are looking for better houses, better cars and those material things… that really are nothing but vanity.

(Job 15:31) Let not = he = being deceived = trust in vanity; = for = vanity = shall be = his reward.

As you enjoy your Thanksgiving… remember to “Really be Thankful”… for what you have. Most of us will have produce on out tables. But have you even though about the… “Migrant Farm Laborers”… that picked that produce? Their jobs are temporary… often moving from area to are to… Pick that Produce… that you are eating every day. Many have families… that will not be sitting down… to even have ‘such a bounty’… as you have on your table.

(Exodus 20:13) You = shall ‘not’ = murder = innocent life.


God, the God of the Bible… has blessed our nation America… unlike any modern nation. He has been steadily withdrawing His blessing on our nation. Why…? Perhaps it is because our “Apathy”… towards and for the “Innocent Unborn”… “WHO are Killed”… in their “Mother’s Womb by Abortion”. So too, we have two states, Washington and Oregon… that have ‘Assisted Suicide.’ If we, as a nation do not care for the ‘Unborn’ and our ‘Elders’… what does that say about… “US?” A nation of nothing more than… ‘wild animals’… parading around as humans?

(Romans 5:8) But = God = demonstrates His love = for us = by the fact = that Christ Jesus = died for us = while = we were still = sinners.

Those of us… that know Him, each and every day are thankful that we have been delivered from the Penalty and the Power of “Sin/Sins!” Those that ‘do not’ know Him… live in the “Pretending”… that He does not exist. Too soon, the reality of eternity will come upon them, without any remedy. If you ‘do not’… know Him… perhaps you should not let this issue continue… before you eat that, ‘Thanksgiving Dinner?’

(1Timothy 5:24-25) Some men's sins = are open = beforehand, = going before = to judgment. = And = some = they also = follow after.
(1Tim 5:25) Likewise also = the good works of some are manifest beforehand, = and = those who are otherwise = cannot be hidden.

God has provided Salvation… through the Finished Atonement… of Christ Jesus the Messiah. When you reject this provision for your “Sin/Sins”… it simply demonstrates… “Your Un-Thankfulness!” What more can I say to you? You have already heard it before. I would simply remind you of the “Terror” you had during the… “9-11” Terrorist Attack… on our country. Your… “Rejection” of God and His Provision… to pay in full for all your “Sin/Sins”… will last in and throughout… “Eternity, in the Lake of Fire!”

(Revelation 20:11-to-15) And = I saw = a great white throne, = and = Him = sitting on it, = from Whose face = the earth = and the heaven = fled away. = And = a place was not = found for them.
(Rev 20:12) And I saw = the dead, = the small = and = the great, = stand = before God. = And = books were opened, = and = another book = was opened, = which is = the Book of Life. = And = the dead = were judged = out of those things = which were written = in the books, = according to their works.

Perhaps during this Day… “Thanksgiving Day”… will not be so good… if you have been Un-Thankful to God and His provision for your Salvation in Christ Jesus. Remember God gave you… Free Will… to choose or not to choose… to Love & Serve… Him. God is Love and God is Holy. Your rejection of Him… will be your choice alone. You will “Never” be able to blame Him for your rejection of Him.

Do you know about “Counterfeit Money”…? The Secret Service, is that enforcement branch of the government deals with that problem. Even with the new currency and all its safeguards, the counterfeit money is still in circulation. Water marks, security strips and the like… do not dissuade the counterfeiters. So today, Churches are a numerous as the counterfeiters and ‘many’ of them promise a false hope… “Gilded over with Lies”… about God and His Word.

God, the God of the Bible… has given us His Word, so that we might learn and know “His Truth”. Many of those that attend Church… do so as a part of our culture, hence the term ‘Cultural Christians’. Many attend Easter and Christmas services but seldom attend Church at any other time. If your mate only, came to see you… twice a year… would they ‘really’ be your ‘mate?’

(1Peter 3:12) For = the eyes = of the Lord = are on = the righteous, = and = His ears = open = to their prayers. = But = the Lord's face = is against those = who = do evil.

Many ‘only’ give a mental ascent… to God. They have nothing to do with Him, unless they are in ‘Trouble’. When they are told, that they have cancer or if one of their children is in danger of death, they will then… and only then, acknowledge God. They do not pray themselves… but ask those that do… to pray for their situation. As a veteran I have heard… foxhole conversions… and have seen the fruit they produce. Few ‘ever’ keep their words to God, when the trouble is over and things are back on track.

(John 10:16) And = I [Jesus] = have = other sheep = who = are not of this fold. = I = must also = lead those, = and = they = shall hear My voice, = and = there shall be = one flock, = one Shepherd.

Who am I… to speak such things to you? Who made me… my brothers’ keeper? Who gave me the ‘authority’ to even speak such things, showing what is and ‘what is not’… “True Christianity?” It is my Father God, the God of the Bible who told His children to… tell ‘others’ about… what He has provided for “All Mankind!” “Well, I already believe in God… what more do I need…?” “Besides… I already said I was a Christian…!” Perhaps, but a Real Biblical Christian…?

Ok, so you ‘Say’… that you are a Christian, are you ready to… “Stand before God Now?” If you are ‘not’ now… ‘this very minute’… ready to stand before God, “To be Judged”… are you sure that You… Really ‘ARE’, a Bible Christian? None of us… yes no own knows ‘just when’ our death will take place. Most expect to live into old age and then ‘pass away’. Few even use the term… “Then Die!” Perhaps using the term ‘pass away’… will help you avoid the terror you feel…?

(Ecclesiastes 12:13-14) Let = “US” = hear the conclusion = of the = ‘whole matter’. = Fear God, = and = ‘keep’ = His commandments. = For this is = the whole duty = of man.
(Eccl 12:14) For = God = shall bring = every work = into judgment, = with = every secret thing, = whether it is good, = or = whether evil.

So do you… “Still Say” that ‘You’… are a “Christian”…? If you are ‘not ready’ to stand before Him and have Him… “Judge You”… perhaps you might want to “Rethink… what being a Christian… Really Means?” Besides all that… do you know what God will use to… “Judge You?” It is His Word… as Christ Jesus said in… “John 12:44-to-50”! Well, I often speak about God and… I attend Church and… I give to the Church and… I am ‘OK’ to my fellow man [except you know who]. Is that enough good… to get ‘ME’… into heaven? Absolutely Not!

(Hebrews 2:15) and = might free = those = who were slaves [to sin] = all their lives = because = they were terrified = by death.

(Romans 6:16) Do you = not know = that to whom = you = yield yourselves as slaves = for obedience, = you are slaves = to him whom = you obey; = whether = it is of sin = to death, = or = of obedience = to righteousness.

I like attending funerals. It is the one time, people are open ‘to hear about’… Eternal Life, through the finished work of “Christ Jesus, the Messiah”. When faced with the death of another, especially someone that they have known… they at least have ‘some’ introspection… into their own lives. When else, except at a funeral… do we come to the fact of… “Life & Death?” May I simply ask you… “Are you, ‘this very moment’… ready to stand before God… and have your life Judged?” If you cannot say… “Yes Affirmatively”… then perhaps ‘now’ is the time to “Question” what you mean when ‘you’ say… “Yes, I am a Christian”.

(2Corinthains 10:12) We would = not dare = put ourselves = in the same class with = or = compare ourselves = to those = who recommend themselves. = When they = measure = themselves by themselves = and = compare themselves = to themselves, = they show = how foolish = they are.

About now… you may be thinking of ‘some’ your friends, who say they are Christians… and who are really ‘not’. Our human minds always tries to ‘justify’ ourselves… by ‘comparing ourselves’… with someone we know. Simply compare yourself with what God has said in His Word. How ‘then’, do you compare? Can you simply admit… that even though you thought you were a Christian… that you fall short of God’s Word? That is the first step… to becoming a “Real Christian.”

(Romans 5:12) Therefore, = just as = sin = entered the world = through one man [Adam], = and = death through sin, = so = death spread = to everyone, = because = “All” = have sinned.

That seems to put us all… in the same ‘Boat’ and it is sinking. When you come to the ‘realization’ that… “You, by your Actions”… have violated the Law of God… that is the beginning. Only sinners… need a Savior, Christ Jesus, of which ‘all’ humans are. God in His Love and Mercy… did not send Christ Jesus… so that you could claim a ‘religion!’ No, not that you could claim some ‘Denomination!’ But that you could… by faith in God’s work of Salvation… trust Christ Jesus… as the payment to God… for all your “Sin/Sins”… Past, Present and Future!

(Romans 5:8) But = God = demonstrates = His love = for us = by the fact = that = Christ died = for ‘us’ = while = we were = still sinners.

(Romans 4:25) [Jesus] Who = was delivered = because of = our offenses = and = was raised = for = our justification.

In simple English… “Jesus paid it All!” When we come to God, as sinners, and trust in the … “Finished Work of Redemption”… by ‘Christ Jesus’… that and ‘only’ that… makes us a “True Bible Christian”. No Church membership or Church Denomination… can bring this about. When you believe in God… just as the Scriptures say [John 7:38-39]… God sends His Holy Spirit… to abide with our human spirit…. “Till the Redemption of our Human Bodies” His Holy Spirit… makes us, as the Bible says… “Born Again = born from Above!”

(Ephesians 1:7-to-14) In = Him [Christ Jesus] = we have = redemption = through = His blood, = the forgiveness of sins, = according to the riches = of = His grace,
(Eph 1:8) which = He = caused to abound = toward us = in all wisdom = and = understanding;

About now… if your heart is open to God and to His Word… you are wondering where you are to go or what you are to do… now? All this time you simply thought was that all you have to do is to give… a ‘mental’ assent to God… and that made you a Christian. Well, it did ‘Not!’ God wants your heart… as that is where His Holy Spirit will live and lead you. What can you do… now? Perhaps this simple prayer…?

Father God… up to this point… I believed that I was good enough on my own. You in Your Word, The Bible… tells me that I have violated… Your Law and Your Word. I know now that I am a helpless sinner and I cannot save myself. The very best I know how… I am trusting in the Finished Work of Christ Jesus, the Messiah. I yield myself willing to You and to Your Word. I believe that Christ Jesus… died in my place… for my “Sin/Sins.” Make me Your child… lead and teach me Your Word, I ask this in Jesus Name and for Your Glory, Amen & Amen…!

(Romans 10:9-to-13) Because = if = “you” = confess the Lord Jesus, = and = believe = in your heart = that God = has raised Him [Jesus] = from the dead, = “you” = shall = be saved.
(Rom 10:10) For = with the heart = ‘one’ = believes unto righteousness, = and = with the mouth = one confesses = unto salvation.
