What is ‘Make Believe’…? Can you define this term in your own words? Please pause a minute and define ‘out loud’ what “Make Believe” really is. Could it be called a ‘Fantasy?’ I remember going to “Disney” here in Florida. Universal is there too in Orland, about a two hour drive from where I live. It like many of the “Amusement Parks” throughout the world. Yes, it is a “Make Believe & Fantasy”… to get your mind off of, the pressures of life. But it is not real, neither are all the parks. Matter of fact, those fantasies are often tied to… ‘movies and other things’… familiar enough to get you into a… “Make Believe Life”.

Many videos… are sheer fantasy to entertain the “Mind”… to allow it ‘to escape’ some of the realities of life’s pressures. Entertainment in itself is… nothing… but a fantasy. Many of what we take for granted, comes from such ‘Fantasy Entertainment’. It uncouples our… ‘cognitive thinking and reasoning’s’ … into a realm of “Fantasy Make Believe”. Sometimes it can be healthy but often times, it is not. How can that be… when it is only… ‘Make Believe?’ Simply put… it is “The Message” that we come away with… in our subconscious. See enough “Killing” and you become… “Numb to Living LIFE”

When I used to travel for work… I always took time to go and see some of the... "Creation Majesty of Nature". Having lived in Florida where it is often humid and hot and “Flat!” I took pleasure in seeing some of this earth from 36,000-feet altitude, when flying to California from Florida. Often times I would look down and wonder what people were doing… ‘way down there’. I could not help but think… what people ‘thought’ when they looked up and… saw that airplane, ‘jet stream exhaust trails’… from the ground. We depend on the “safety and integrity of engineering”… to fly. Life too… has some built in safeguards.
(Galatians 6:7) Do not = be deceived, = God = is not mocked. = For whatever = a man sows, = that = he also = will reap.
If you have flown… you know what I am speaking about. Strange, how we trust the airline, pilot and flight crew with our lives. Is it… “Make believe & Fantasy”… or is it ‘reality’… that who we trust our lives to? True, flying is ‘statistically’ safer than driving an automobile. Millions fly daily and seldom do we hear of an airline accident. Recently some teens, who had ‘restricted leaner’s permits’… took their parents Jeep and went for a joy ride. One of the three teen girls… was killed in an accident. Was that… “Make Believe & Fantasy”… that took her ‘life’. What will those other two girls… remember the rest of their lives…?
Americans by statics… watch on the average “44-hours a week”… of video and TV entertainment. You simply allow those ‘Thoughts and Facts’… to be ‘poured’ into your mind’s computer, where your sense of… “Right & Wrong”… reside. Much of the entertainment… ‘only’ portrays a ‘varying degree’ of right and wrong. There is “Never a clear distinction”… between right and wrong. Whose ‘right’ and whose ‘wrong’… is an issue… ‘never’… addressed in the Media, except by innuendo and slander. So is much of the advertising that we are exposed to.

(1Tim 5:25) Likewise also = the good works of some = are manifest beforehand, = and = those who are = otherwise = cannot be hidden.
In our last National Election for President… most voted for “Change”. But ‘Change’ to ‘What’… an ever increasing… “Financial Debt?” Most of us have… credit cards, vehicle loans, house mortgages, rent and utility bills and “The Like”. We have a “Pay Check”… that will only divide into so many parts… and “No More!” Many, take ‘the option’ to… run a “Continuing Negative Debt Balance”… to purchase ‘what’ we “WANT”… ‘instead of’… what we ‘Really Need!’ This creates a… “Make Believe & Fantasy”… that things will be better off… down the road of life.
(Hebrews 9:27) Indeed, = just as = people = are appointed = to die once = and = after that = to be Judged,
Live often comes around to… ‘Surprise us with Reality’. The more the, “Fantasy & Make Believe” we entertain… the harder the… “Bite of Reality”. Smokers are always ‘surprised’ when the doctor tells them they have “Lung Cancer and Emphysema”. The obese persons, who have been on a ‘diet’ all their life… wonders how they just happened to get… ‘Diabetes?’ Those that are trapped by the Media… so too wonder… how they could have ‘not seen’, what is happening. How did their mind… ever entertain such thinking…? “Make Believe & Fantasy!”
If you're living like there is no God. . . . “You'd BETTER be RIGHT… !”
A friend of mine uses that saying…! We ‘all’ someday… have to answer to “God and to His Word.” Any other thinking… is nothing but… “Make Believe & Fantasy!” Perhaps during this Christmas season… you will ‘vaguely’… think about the “Baby Jesus” born in a manger in Jerusalem. But your… “Make Believe & Fantasy of Christmas”… this month, will keep you ‘from’ thinking about “Him… Daily!” He will be your Judge, Jury and… the ONE… Who Sentences You for your life choices! [John 12:44-to-50]
(1John 4:16-17) And = we have known = and believed = the love = that God has = in us. = God is love, = and = he who abides in love = abides in God, = and = God in him.
(1John 4:17) In this = is our love = made perfect, = that we may = have boldness = in = the “Day of Judgment”, = that = as He is, = so also = we are = in this world.
Many excuse away “Sin/Sins”… by simply saying “God is Love!” They… purposely omit what these Bible verses called… “The Day of Judgment!” You live your life… “Either ‘in’ this knowledge”… or you ‘purposely omit this’… “Day of Judgment”. You use your… “Make Believe & Fantasy”… to escape from being ‘Totally Accountable’ to Him, “God”… Or… you bring your “Thinking and Actions”… into obedience to Him and His Word.” There is No Middle Ground… it is ‘one’… or the ‘other’.
(Ecclesiastes 12:13-14) Let us = hear = the conclusion = of the whole matter. = Fear God, = and = keep His commandments. = For this is = the whole duty = of mankind.
(Eccl 12:14) For = God = shall bring = ‘every work’ = into judgment, = with = ‘every secret thing’, = whether = it is good, = or = whether evil.
About now, ‘Some’ are thinking… ‘Why did you have to say this?’ Your escape to the… “Make Believe & Fantasy”… it is a moment by moment… decision process. No, I did not watch the ‘Victoria Secret’ Christmas presentation, with girls in their under ware, parading around. As a man, I am sure it would pleasurable to me… but ‘not’ to God, the God of the Bible. Just “Who”… do you seek… to be obedience to, in Life? Yourself or God…?
(1Corinthains 9:27) No, = I keep on = beating my body [and mind] = and = making it = my slave = so that, = after = I have = preached to others, = I myself = will not = somehow = be disqualified.
Often times I have started… some TV program or Video… only to turn it off and not finish it. Its context violated the Word of God, the Bible! And it is an… ‘Active’ ongoing series of… “Personal Choices”… that I must make… to ‘keep’ my… “Mind, my Heart and my Will”… “Holy before a Holy God”... Whom I serve… ‘moment by moment’. You too, who say you know HIM… must constantly make those… same choices. [2Corinthians 10:3-to-6]
(John 15:10) If you = keep My commandments [John 12:44-to-50], = you = shall abide = in My love, = even as = I have kept = My Father's commandments = and = abide in His love.
(1John 2:3-to-6) And by this = we know = that we have = known Him, = ‘if’ = we keep = His commandments.
(1Jn 2:4) He = who says, = I have known Him, = and = does ‘not’ keep = His commandments [John 12:44-to-50], = “Is A Liar”, = and = the Truth = is ‘not’ in him.
(1Jn 2:5) But = whoever = keeps His Word [John 12:44-to-50], = truly in = this one = the love of God = is perfected. = By this = we know = that we are = in Him.
(1Jn 2:6) He who says = he abides = in Him [Christ Jesus] = ought himself = also to walk = even as He = walked.
How will you walk from now on…? You that say you… ‘Know Jesus?’ What is your… “Make Believe & Fantasy Life”… going to be now on? That is your choice, and not mine. You and only you… have to make that day by day, moment by moment decision. But How can I do that…? You are going to have to spend time in God’s Word, the Bible… day by day… to get your mind again on the right track. You call His Name… then walk as He has walked…!

(Luke 6:46) And why = do you = call Me [Jesus] = Lord, = Lord, = and = do ‘not’ do = what = I say?
(James 1:22) Keep on = being ‘doers’ = of the Word, = and = ‘not’ merely hearers = who = ‘deceive’ = themselves.
