“Are You ‘BORED?’ – 101”…Blog.
*** (Psalms 55:22) Cast thy burden upon the LORD; and He shall sustain you: He shall never suffer the righteous to be moved.
Too many times… I have seen ‘postings’ of people being “BORED!” Single ones, married ones and all those in between. Did you ever stop and think… “Why am I BORED?” A simple reason… is that too many are ‘Addicted’… to being “Entertained!” Most use Music, Videos, TV to keep their shallow minds… even ‘Shallower!’ No, I mean no detrimental statement… saying you have a ‘Shallow Mind’. In fact, we are all born… “Ignorant = Un–informed!” We are born with ‘Shallow & Ignorant” minds… which need to be “Trained, Disciplined & Informed!” When I was a child I had a natural propensity to listen to ‘Classical Music’. I remember one summer, sitting in the basement at my grandmother’s house… listening to ‘Opera & Classical’ music records. Another summer, during our annual family visit, I sat in the hall, reading her 10+year collection of National Geographic.
*** (1Corinthains 9:24-to-24) You know that in a race; all the runners run; but only one wins the prize, don't you? You must run in such a way that you may be victorious.
(1Cor 9:25) Everyone who enters an athletic contest practices self-control in everything. They do it to win a wreath that dies, but we to win one that never dies.
(1Cor 9:26) That is the way I run, with a clear goal in mind. That is the way I box, not like someone punching the air.
(1Cor 9:27) No, I keep on beating my body and making it my slave so that, after I have preached to others, I myself will not somehow be disqualified.

Your Brain needs “Cognitive Exercise”… just as your body needs physical exercise. Overweight people without… ‘Medically restrictive problems’… are ‘Fat’; because they take in more calories; than they ‘Expend!’ So too, your mind gets… “BORED”… because YOU do not exercise it… “But feed it Junk Food–Entertainment!” Do you ‘speak & understand’ a second language, besides your mother tongue? Have you learned something ‘New’… in the last year? Have you taken a trip somewhere… where you have never gone before? Stagnation and a ‘Non–Proactive’ approach to learning… will surely, make you… “BORED!” Surely, you try different food recipes, don’t you…? Before you make an… “Excuse Why NOT”… Think this one through…?
*** (2Corinthains 4:16) That's why we are not discouraged. No, even if our outer man is wearing out, our inner man is being renewed day by day.
*** (Psalms 119:11) I have hidden Your Word in my heart; so that I might not sin against You [Lord].
*** (Proverbs 29:18) Where there is no vision [goal], the people perish; but he who keeps the law [Word], he is blessed.
*** (Jeremiah 12:5) If you have run with footmen, and they wore you out, then how can you compete with horses? And if you feel secure in the land of peace, then how will you do in the swelling of the Jordan?

“IF” Each Day… is started with Christ Jesus… meeting with Him… in His Holy Word; you will not be BORED. He met with His Father each morning; before each day, as an example for us. Also in the OT, the children of Israel; had to get their Manna, before the sun arose. Begin a little at a time, by first removing the TV; or seriously ‘Limit’ your TV viewing time. Did you notice on TV programs, no one is ever Bored? They always have the money, the time, the opportunity to do ‘fun’ things… so no one is ever really Bored! Those programs are “All Fantasy”… to keep our Bored minds… ‘Entertained!’ Real life is not truly like that! I was Bored and simply... did my dishes from last night; before writing this! …LOL!
*** (Mark 1:35) And in the morning, rising up a great while before day, He [Jesus] went out, and departed into a solitary place, and there prayed [Worshiped].
*** (1Samuel 3:21) And the LORD appeared again in Shiloh: for the LORD revealed himself to Samuel in Shiloh; by the Word of the LORD.
*** *** (1Samuel 2:30) And Jehovah, the God of Israel says, I said indeed, Your house and the house of your father should walk before Me forever. = But now Jehovah says, = Be it far from Me! = For those who honor Me [God]; I will honor, = and those that think little of Me; shall be lightly regarded.
*** (2Samuel 24:24) And the king [David] said to Araunah, No, but I will surely buy from you at a price. = And I will not ‘offer’ burnt offerings = to Jehovah my God = of that which ‘costs’ me nothing. = And David bought the threshing-floor and the oxen for fifty shekels of silver.
*** (Luke 14:28-to-32) For which of you, intending to build a tower, does not sit down first and count the cost, whether he may have enough to finish it;
(Luke 14:29) lest perhaps, after he has laid the foundation and is not able to finish, all those seeing begin to mock him,
(Luke 14:30) saying, This man began to build and was not able to finish.
(Luke 14:31) Or what king, going to make war against another king, does not first sit down and consult whether he is able with ten thousand to meet him who comes against him with twenty thousand?
(Luke 14:32) Or else, while the other is still a great way off, he sends a delegation and asks conditions of peace [Truce].

Boredom is ‘always’ a Choice…! How about learning something new…? How about learning a skill… that you have never developed before…? How about stop thinking about being “Entertained”… and do something useful for “Others”…? Surely there is a nursing home… where the elderly would like a visit from someone younger…? Or even a widow in your neighborhood… who could use a hand, cleaning her place…? How about being a Mentor… to a minor… like the Big Brother’s & Big Sisters Programs…? Did you know that one out of eight… adults cannot read…? Help out someone to learn… English…? Or you, yourself… even learn to ‘Speak & Understand Spanish’…? All these thing and so very many Others… will keep you from being Bored…!
*** (Matthew 25:35-to-40) For I was hungry, and you gave me food; I was thirsty, and you gave Me drink; I was a stranger, and you took Me in;
(Mat 25:36) I was naked, and you clothed Me; I was sick, and you visited Me; I was in prison, and you came to Me.
(Mat 25:37) Then the righteous shall answer Him, saying, Lord, when did we see You hungry, and fed You? Or thirsty, and gave You drink?
(Mat 25:38) When did we see You a stranger, and took You in? Or naked, and clothed You?
(Mat 25:39) Or when did we see You sick, or in prison, and came to You?
(Mat 25:40) And the King shall answer and say to them, Truly I say to you, Inasmuch as you did it to one of the least of these My brothers, you have done it to Me.
*** (Luke 16:10-to-13) He who is ‘faithful’ in the least; is also ‘faithful’ in much. = And he who is ‘unjust’ in the least; is also ‘unjust’ in much.
(Luke 16:11) Therefore if you have not been faithful in the unrighteous mammon, who will entrust the true riches to you?
(Luke 16:12) And if you have not been ‘faithful’ in that which is another's; who shall give you that which is your own?
(Luke 16:13) No servant can serve two masters. For either he will hate the one and love the other, or else he will hold to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve God and mammon [self].
*** (Philippians 2:4-5) Do not let each man look upon his own things; but each man also on the things [needs] of others.
(Philip 2:5) For let this mind be in you which was also in Christ Jesus,
***
*** (Philippians 2:13) For it is God who works in you; both to will; and to do; of His good pleasure.
Love; in Christ, Roger / Ezekiel 3:18-to-21.
