“Repentance – 606”…Blog [6/6 - End]

“Repentance – 606”…Blog [6/6 - End]

Continuing on with “Repentance”… one may readily see from the “Scriptures”… that there is “No Middle Ground!” IF… you love Jesus, you will “Serve & Obey”… “His Holy Word”. IF ‘Not’… then you will ‘replace it’… with ‘platitudes’ and ‘religious jargon’’… that has ‘Nothing’ to do with Him! The ‘seriousness’ of this issue is tantamount to ‘your’ salvation in Christ. Believing ‘about’ Jesus is different than… “Believing Jesus and the ‘complete authority’ of His Word”. You are either responsible to His Word… or to your ‘religion’… they are “Not” the Same Thing!

*** (James 4:7-to-10) Therefore ‘submit’ yourselves = to God. = Resist the devil, = and he will flee from you.
(Jas 4:8) Draw near to God, = and He will draw near to you. = Cleanse your hands, sinners; = and purify your hearts, = double-minded ones.
(Jas 4:9) Be afflicted, = and mourn = and weep. = Let your laughter be turned to mourning = and your joy to heaviness.
(Jas 4:10) Be humbled = before the Lord, = and He will lift you up.

*** (1Kings 18:21) And Elijah came to all the people and said, = How long are you limping over two opinions? = If Jehovah is God, = follow Him. = But if Baal is God, = then follow him. = And the people = did not answer him a word.

*** (James 1:27) Pure religion = and undefiled = before God and the Father is this, = to visit orphans and widows in their afflictions, = and to keep oneself = unspotted from the world.

As previously discussed… “True Biblical Repentance”… comes from God [2Timothy 2:25-26]. He has already commanded [Acts 17:30-31]… all mankind everywhere… “To Repent!” [Luke 13:1-to-5] The problem is “NOT”, on God’s Part… but on that of we humans [Luke 6:46]. We choose to ‘Prepare’ [Ezra 7:10] or ‘Not to Prepare’ [2Choronicles 12:14] our hearts… and we ‘often’ harden [Hebrews 3:13-14] our hearts… against His Word [John 15:22]. Say it isn’t SO…? ‘Only’ our money says… “One Nation under God!” Our nation, like all others ‘only’ gives… “Lip Service” to God, the God of the Bible.

*** (Hosea 10:12) Sow to yourselves in righteousness, reap in mercy; break up your fallow ground. For it is time to seek Jehovah, until He comes and rains righteousness on you.

*** (Micah 2:7) House of Jacob, it is said, The Spirit of Jehovah is limited, if these are His doings. Do not My words do good to him who walks uprightly?

*** (Ezekiel 2:7) And you shall speak My Words to them, whether they will hear or whether they will forbear, for they are rebellious.

*** (1Corinthians 2:14) But the = natural man = does NOT receive the things of the Spirit of God, for they are = “FOOLISHNESS” = to him; neither can he = know = them, because they are spiritually discerned.

WHO… are you responsible to? Just “WHO”… do you Love with your Heart, Mind, Soul and all your being…? If you say it is Jesus, then Serve Him! Remember HE is the “Living Word”. That ‘same love’ you say you have for Him… should ‘also be’ for His Holy Word! One cannot truly Love Jesus… and then ‘Not Love’… His Holy Word, the Bible. Truly, isn’t that what… “Confession & Repentance”… is all about? When we come to the knowledge that our hearts are not right in a certain area… we “Confess” [1John 1:5-to-10]… and “Forsake” [Proverbs 28:13]… and “Change” our actions [James 1:22].

*** (John 12:44-to-50) But Jesus cried out and said, = He who believes on Me = does not believe on Me = but on Him [God] = Who sent Me.
(John 12:45) And he who sees Me [Jesus] = sees Him [God] = Who sent Me.
(John 12:46) I have come as a Light into the world, = so that whoever believes on Me = should not remain in darkness.
(John 12:47) And if any one = hears My Words = and does ‘not’ believe, = I do not judge him, [at this time] = for I do not come to judge the world [this time], = but to save the world [as Savior].
(John 12:48) He who rejects Me = and does not receive = My Words = has one who judges him; = the Word = that I have spoken, = the same shall judge him = in the last day [next time].
(John 12:49) For I have not spoken = of Myself, = but the Father [God] = Who sent Me [Jesus] = gave Me a command, = what I should say, = and = what I should speak.
(John 12:50) And I know that His command = is life everlasting. = Therefore whatever I speak, = even as the Father [God] = said to Me [Jesus], = so I speak [to you].

*** (John 6:44) No one = can come to Me [Jesus] = unless the Father [God] = Who has sent Me = draw him, = and I will raise him up = at the last day.

*** (1Timothy 2:5) For God is one, = and there is one Mediator = of God and of men, = the Man Christ Jesus,

Perhaps IF you… have read all these blogs, you have ‘only some’ idea of what True Biblical Repentance is about. This discussion has only scratched the surface of this topic. In your study of the Word… simply ask God, by His Holy Spirit… to teach you and show you… His Truth! A heart that Loves Jesus… will Love His Word! It is by His Word… that we can begin to ‘know and understand’… how very much He truly loves US!

Only when “YOU”… ‘know’ His Word… and are ‘obedient’ to the Word of God, can you effectively share His Word and His Truth with Others! Isn’t that what Salvation in Christ is all about? One ‘sheep’ telling ‘other sheep’… where there is ‘pasture’ and ‘rest’… for our souls! Their unbelief will have no effect on your belief… “IF”… you are ‘founded & grounded’… in His Holy Word. It will become your “Sword & Shield” against all those other thoughts, that we are exposed to in this world each and every day. Remember Jesus told Satan… It is Written…!

*** (John 10:16) And I [Jesus] have other sheep who are not of this fold. I must also lead those, and they shall hear My voice, and there shall be one flock, one Shepherd.

*** (Luke 24:44-to-48) And He [Jesus] said to them, = These are the words which I spoke to you = while I was still with you, = that all things = must be fulfilled = which were written = in the Law of Moses = and in the Prophets = and in the Psalms = about Me [Jesus].
(Luke 24:45) And He [Jesus] = opened their mind = to understand = the Scriptures.
(Luke 24:46) And He said to them, = So it is written, = and so it behooved Christ = to suffer = and to rise from the dead = the third day,
(Luke 24:47) and that = REPENTANCE = and remission of sins = should be proclaimed = in His name = among = all nations, = beginning at Jerusalem.
(Luke 24:48) And you are witnesses of these things.

Remember… The ‘Grace of God’ that brings Salvation is the same ‘Grace of God’… that gives ‘Repentance’… to both the “Believer”, to regain [Titus 3:5] fellowship with Him… and to the Non-Believer for Salvation. This is an ongoing process in the hearts, minds and souls of the True Believer. Those that have ‘only’ religion… hardly ever “Believe & Study”… God and His Word, the Bible. Such abundance “Grace and the Knowledge” of Him… is found ‘in’ His Word… and ‘through’ His Word!

*** (Luke 24:45) And He [Jesus] = opened their mind = to understand = the Scriptures.

*** (Deuteronomy 29:29) The secret things = belong to Jehovah our God, = but the revealed things belong to us and to our sons forever, = so that we may do = all the words of this Law.

*** (Psalms 25:14) The secret of Jehovah = is with those = who fear Him; = and He will show them His covenant.

*** (Psalms 119:11) I have hidden Your Word in my heart, so that I might not sin against You.

End of this… discussion on “Repentance”. Perhaps as you are reading through the Scriptures you can add to this. God reveals to us… “Himself = through His Word”… and the “Truths” that we need to ‘learn & apply’… to enhance our obedience to Him. Thank you for your ear.

Truly… “Biblical Repentance”… is an ‘on-going’ process of maturing… in those “Born Again”… by His Holy Spirit… ‘Sealed’ until the day of redemption!

*** (Matthew 3:8-9) Bring forth therefore = fruits worthy of = “Repentance”;
(Matt 3:9) and do not think to say within yourselves, = We have Abraham as our father. = For I say to you = that God is able = to raise up children = to Abraham = from these “Stones”.

*** (Luke 19:40) And He [Jesus] = answered and said to them, = I tell you = that if these = should be silent, = the “Stones” = would cry out.

*** (Luke 17:10) So likewise you, = when you shall have done = all the things commanded you, = say, = We are unprofitable servants, = for we have done what we = ought to do [duty].

“Repentance – 505” Blog [5/?]

“Repentance – 505” Blog [5/?]

*** (Ephesians 5:9-10) for the fruit of the Spirit = is in all = goodness = and righteousness = and Truth, [John 17:17]
(Eph 5:10) Proving what is acceptable = to the Lord.

If you have been following… this blog series on ‘Repentance’, you will see this Truth… ‘Interwoven & Replete’… throughout the Holy Word of God. “Repentance” always produces a change in the; ‘hearts & minds & actions’ of every True Believer. This is an ongoing work of the Holy Spirit as we yield ourselves to the “Obedience of the Scriptures”. In this ‘age of license’… “MANY”… excuse away ‘obedience’ to the Word. Just perhaps they ‘purposely’ missed… “James 1:22” & “Luke 6:46”…?

*** (2Corinthians 4:16) For this cause we do not faint; = but though our outward man perishes, = yet the inward man = is being renewed = day by day. [John 15:1-to-5]

*** (Mark 12:29-30) And Jesus answered him, The First of all the commandments is, "Hear, O Israel, = the Lord our God = is one Lord;
(Mark 12:30) and you = shall love the Lord your God = with all your heart, = and with all your soul, = and with all your mind, = and with all your strength." This is the first commandment.

*** (Luke 4:4) And Jesus answered him, saying, It is written [Deuteronomy 8:3] that "man shall not live by bread alone, but by every Word of God."

*** (2Timothy 2:15-16) Study Earnestly = to present yourself approved to God, = a workman that does not need to be ashamed, = rightly dividing = the Word of Truth.
(2Tim 2:16) But shun = profane, vain babblings, = for they will increase to more ungodliness.

Our commitment to “The Scriptures”… is a lifelong one, in knowing and obeying His Holy Word. One ‘cannot’ be a committed Christian without… ‘Knowing & Obeying’… The Word! “Many”… say they ‘Love Jesus’… and yet hardly know ‘Anything’; of what His Word teaches. They cannot defend the “Word”, when a Jehovah Witness; knocks on their door. We are here “TO” witness to them… ‘Not them to Us!’ “MOST”… miss; the calling of “A Soldier of Christ”… and to “Contend Earnestly”… for the “True Biblical Faith!”

*** (Luke 18:8) I [Jesus] say to you that He [God] will avenge them speedily. = Yet when = the Son of Man comes, = shall He find = Faith [True Biblical] = on the earth?

*** (2Timothy 2:3-4-5) Therefore endure hardness, = as a good soldier of Jesus Christ.
(2Tim 2:4) No one who wars = tangles with the affairs of this life, = that he may please Him [Jesus] = Who chose him [YOU] = to be a soldier.
(2Tim 2:5) And also if anyone competes, = he is not crowned = unless he competes = lawfully.

*** (Jude 1:3-4) Having made all haste = to write to you = about the common salvation, beloved, = I had need = to write to you = to exhort you = to contend earnestly = for the Faith = once delivered to the saints.
(Jude 1:4) For certain men crept in = secretly, = those having been of old previously written into this condemnation, = ungodly ones = perverting the grace of our God = for unbridled lust, and denying the only Master, God, = even our Lord Jesus Christ.

*** (2Peter 2:1-2) But there were also = false prophets = among the people, = even as there will be = false teachers = among you, = who secretly will bring in destructive heresies, = even denying the Master who bought them, bringing on themselves swift destruction.
(2Pet 2:2) And = MANY = will follow their pernicious ways, = and because of them = the way of Truth [Word of God] = will be evil spoken of.

A “Disciple of Christ”… has a ‘commitment’ to the Holy Word of God! This battle is… “First”… fought in your… “Own Mind!” But how can that ‘Be?’ Because the world is corrupt and our flesh validates that corruptness, this battle is… “FIRST” fought in our ‘own’ mind and heart. Remember, our actions follow what we ‘approve’ in our mind. If the speed limit is ‘45’… and you are driving ‘60’; it is your ‘mind’… that approves of your action. Your vehicle will ‘only’ do what you cause it to do…!

*** (2Corinthians 10:3-to-6) For though walking about in flesh, = we do not war = according to flesh.
(2Cor 10:4) For the weapons of our warfare = are not fleshly, = but mighty = through God = to the pulling down of strongholds,
(2Cor 10:5) pulling down imaginations = and every high thing = that exalts itself = against the knowledge of God, = and bringing into captivity = “EVERY THOUGHT” = into = the Obedience of Christ;
(2Cor 10:6) and having = readiness to avenge = all disobedience [1John 1:5-to-10 & Proverbs 28:13], = when your obedience is fulfilled.

*** (1John 1:5-to-10) And this is the message which we have heard from Him [Jesus] = and declare to you, = that God is light, = and in Him = is ‘no’ darkness at all.
(1Jn 1:6) If we say = that we have fellowship with Him = and walk in darkness, = we LIE = and do not practice = the Truth.
(1Jn 1:7) But if we walk in the light, = as He is in the light, = we have fellowship with one another, = and the blood of Jesus Christ His Son = cleanses [keeps on cleansing] us = from all sin.
(1Jn 1:8) If we say that we have = no sin, = we deceive ourselves, = and the Truth is not in us.
(1Jn 1:9) If we confess our sins, = He is faithful and just = to forgive us our sins, = and to cleanse us from = all unrighteousness.
(1Jn 1:10) If we say that we have not sinned, = we make Him a liar, = and His Word = is ‘not’ in us.

*** (Proverbs 28:13) He who covers his sins = shall not be blessed; = but whoever confesses = and = leaves them = shall have mercy.

*** (Romans 6:1) What shall we say then? = Shall we = continue in sin, = that [God’s] grace may abound?
(Rom 6:2) God forbid. = How shall we, = that are dead to sin, = live any longer therein?

This is the “KEY”… to the ‘Truly Born Again’ believers walk in “Obedience”… to the Holy Word of God! Without an ongoing; “Repentant Spirit”… how then can one… “Walk in the Word, being a Doer of the Word?” Simply, when we allow those thoughts to come into our minds and stay there… we allow sin to take root in our minds. The solution… “Bring Every THOUGHT”… to the “Obedience of Christ!” Remember… (Philippians 2:5) “Let this mind be in you, = which was also in Christ Jesus:”

Without “Confessing & Forsaking”… those thoughts, ideas, concepts and actions… we cannot properly fulfill the definition of “True Biblical Repentance”. Perhaps a ‘practical’ example? I am a man and consequently I am tempted. When watching the TV, I keep my finger on the ‘last channel’ button. As soon as the: “Victoria Secret” commercial comes on… I switch the channel. Surely being single, I do not need to be seeing women in their… ‘Under ware!’ Our flesh wants validation and it does not care… from whom… we get it. Perhaps IF we will ‘yield ourselves’ to the’’’ “Holy Word of God”… that is… All the Validation we need!

*** (Job 31:1) I made a covenant with = mine eyes; = why then should I think upon a maid?

*** (Acts 5:29) And Peter and the apostles answered and said, = We ought to = ‘obey’ God = rather than men.

*** (1John 2:15-16-17) Stop loving the world = and the things that are in the world. = If anyone = persists in loving the world, = the Father's love = is ‘not’ in him.
(1Jn 2:16) For everything that is in the world = the desire for fleshly gratification, = the desire for possessions, = and worldly arrogance = is ‘not’ from the Father = but ‘is’ from the world.
(1Jn 2:17) And the world and its desires are fading away, = but the person = who does God's will [Word] remains forever.

*** (Romans 6:15-16-17) What then? = Shall we sin, = because we are not under the law, = but under grace? = God forbid.
(Rom 6:16) Don’t you know = that to whom = you yield yourselves servants = to obey, = his servants you are = to whom = you obey; = whether of sin unto death, = or = of obedience = unto righteousness?
(Rom 6:17) But God be thanked, = that you were the servants of sin, = but you have obeyed = from the heart = that form of doctrine [teaching] which was delivered you.

This ongoing “Repentance”… does ‘not’ happen overnight. As we mature ‘Spiritually’… we “Obey More!” Simple put… “The more we Obey”… “The Less we Sin!” And “NO”… we ‘never’ become Sinless in practice, though in position we are in Christ, sinless before God. We continue in God’s grace… and in Obedience to His Holy Word. The more we know the Word… the more we know ourselves… as God sees us.

*** (Philippians 1:9) And this I pray, = that your love may abound yet more and more = in knowledge = and in all judgment;

*** (1Thessalonians 4:1-to-4) Now then, brothers, = you learned from us how you = ought to live = and = to please God, = as in fact you are doing. = We ask and encourage you = in the Lord = to do so = even more.
(1Th 4:2) You know what instructions we gave you through the Lord Jesus.
(1Th 4:3) For it is God's will = that you be sanctified: = You must abstain from sexual immorality;
(1Th 4:4) Each one of you = must know how to control his own body = in holiness and honor,

*** (Matthew 5:48) Therefore be perfect, = even as your Father [God] in Heaven = is perfect.

Take some time… and read the conditions of the “Seven Churches” of Revelation chapters ‘2 & 3’. Those churches were made up of “Believers in Christ”. Each church had believers… in various levels of “Spiritual Growth & Obedience”. We choose ‘to obey’ or ‘not to obey’; ‘to be’ growing in grace or ‘not’ to be growing in grace. We stagnate or we move forward or we backslide. And we are can even be… “Spanked by God” [1Corinthians 11:30]… as He chastens His disobedient children [Hebrews 12:6-to-9]. This is all part of “Repentance”… so that we are continually moving… ‘Forward and Not Backwards’… in our walk with Him… in Obedience to His Holy Word!

Truly… “Biblical Repentance”… is an ‘on-going’ process of maturing… in those “Born Again”… by His Holy Spirit… ‘Sealed’ until the day of redemption!

“Repentance – 404”…Blog [4/?]

“Repentance – 404”…Blog [4/?]

True Biblical “Faith”… continues to ‘mature’ those; that are truly Born Again by His Holy Spirit! Part of that ‘maturation’ process and drawing closer to Him; is done in ‘knowing’ His Word and His Truth found in it. Osmosis ‘does not’ take place by simply owning a Bible. A ‘systematic study’ of both the OT & NT Truths, will enable one to grow in His Grace! His Truth is hidden from the ‘Spiritually Blind.’ One’ can only be taught by His Holy Spirit that indwells each True Believer. Surely ‘NO’ Church Denomination… can do this!

*** (Romans 10:17) So then faith comes by hearing, = and hearing by the Word of God.

*** (Psalms 36:9) For with You [Lord] is the fountain of life; = in Your light we shall see light.

*** (1Corinthians 2:14) But the natural man ‘does not receive’ the things of the Spirit of God, for they are ‘foolishness’ to him; neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned.

*** (John 16:13-14) Yet when the Spirit of Truth comes, = He will guide you into all Truth. For He will not speak on his own accord, but will speak whatever He hears and will declare to you the things that are to come.
(John 16:14) He will glorify Me, = for Me will take what is Mine = and declare it to you.

“Christ Jesus”… the Living Word of God, made the “Passover Lamb of God” [1Corinthians 5:7] came one time; as ‘sinless’ sacrifice for all mankind. Surely He did not mean for us ‘to stagnate’ in His Grace… but to be living witnesses, for Him… to a ‘lost & dying’ world. Part of that work, is done in sharing His Word with others. But in order to do that, we each ‘need’ to study His Word and allow His Holy Spirit to teach us. Part of that process means… “Unlearning”… some of those things we have wrongly learned.

*** (Philippians 2:5) For “LET” this mind be in you = which was also in Christ Jesus,

*** (John 15:1-to-5) I am the True Vine, and My Father is the Vinedresser.
(John 15:2) Every branch in Me that ‘does not’ bear fruit, = He takes away. And every one that bears fruit, = He prunes it = so that it may bring forth = more fruit.
(John 15:3) Now you are clean through the Word = which I have spoken to you.
(John 15:4) Abide in Me, and I in you. = As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself = unless it remains in the vine, = so neither can you unless you abide in Me.
(John 15:5) I am the Vine, = you are the branches. = He who abides in Me, and I in him, the same brings forth much fruit; = for without Me you can do nothing.

*** (2Corinthains 4:7) But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, so that the excellence of the power = may be of God = and ‘not’ of us;

*** (John 3:30) He [Jesus] must increase, = but I must decrease.

This process of “Maturation ‘in’ Repentance”… is ‘not’ a one-time thing. It is a daily process that continues as one knows and studies and learns “His Holy Word”. By example, if I may share, is something I learned some years ago? While reading through the Word, book by book, chapter by chapter, I came upon these verses. Since the Holy Spirit laid theses verses on my heart & mind, it has become a… “Practice of Obedience!” From then on, and since then, I practice the Word… so that I may hear God and what He is speaking to me, from His Word.

*** (2Chronicles 12:14) And he did the evil because he = did not prepare his heart = to seek Jehovah.

*** (Ezra 7:10) For Ezra had = prepared his heart = to seek the Law of Jehovah, and = to do it, and = to teach statutes and judgments = in Israel.

*** (Matthew 15:7-8-9) Hypocrites! Well did Isaiah prophesy of you, saying,
(Matt 15:8) "This people draws near to Me with their mouth, and honors Me with their lips, = but their heart is far from Me.
(Matt 15:9) But in vain they worship Me, teaching for doctrines the commandments of men."

*** (Acts 8:20-21) But Peter said to him, May your silver perish with you, because you have thought that the gift of God may be purchased with money.
(Acts 8:21) You have neither part nor lot in this matter, = for your heart is not right = in the sight of God.

One cannot understand… or correctly hear from the Word of God, till their heat is prepared. Surely you would not have guests or friends over… to an un-cleaned home? Nor would one eat off of dirty plates and utensils. It is the same way with our… “Hearts & Minds!” We need to ‘prepare’ them, to hear and understand God; from His Holy Word. The contaminations and thinking of this world… cannot be aloud… to taint our ‘knowledge or understanding’… about His Word! As a shower cleanses our outside, a ‘prepared heart’… will enable the Holy Spirit to feed our inner man.

*** (Proverbs 21:1-to-4) The king's heart is in the hand of Jehovah as the rivers of water; = He turns it wherever He will.
(Pro 21:2) Every way of a man is right in his own eyes, = but Jehovah ponders the hearts.
(Pro 21:3) To do justice and judgment = is more pleasing to Jehovah = than sacrifice.
(Pro 21:4) A high look, = a proud heart, = and the plowing of the wicked, = is sin.

*** (Proverbs 16:25) There is a way that seems right to a man, = but the end of it is the ways of death.

*** (Ephesians 5:26-27) that He might sanctify and cleanse it = with the washing of water = by the Word,
(Eph 5:27) that He might present it to Himself as the glorious church, without spot or wrinkle or any such things, but that it should be holy and without blemish.

*** (1Samuel 3:21) And Jehovah appeared again in Shiloh. For Jehovah revealed himself to Samuel in Shiloh by the Word of Jehovah.

“Repentance”… is a simple on-going ‘maturation’ of the True Believer. The more we know and understand ‘of and from’ His Word; the more our actions change. A ‘new born’ does not eat steak & potatoes, but is fed with milk. In the same way, we are fed the… “Pure Milk of the Word” … so that we may mature in Christ. Nothing can “Absolutely” take the place of ‘mother’s milk’, as science had discovered over 200 amino acid complexes; not found in the over the counter, Formula. In the same way, the Holy Spirit… teacher the believer from the Precious Word of God.

*** (1Peter 1:22-to-25) Purifying your souls = in the obedience of the Truth = through the Spirit = to unfeigned love of the brothers, love one another fervently = out of a pure heart,
(1Pet 1:23) having been ‘born again’, not of corruptible seed, = but of incorruptible, = through = the living Word of God, = and abiding forever.
(1Pet 1:24) For all flesh is as grass, and all the glory of men as the flower of the grass. The grass withers, and its flower falls out,
(1Pet 1:25) but the Word of the Lord endures forever. = And this is the Word preached as gospel to you.

*** (1Peter 2:1-to-5) Therefore laying aside all malice and all guile and hypocrisies and envyings, and all evil speakings,
(1Pet 2:2) desire the sincere milk of the Word, as newborn babes, so that you may grow by it;
(1Pet 2:3) if truly you have tasted that the Lord is gracious.
(1Pet 2:4) For having been drawn to Him, = a living Stone, = indeed rejected by men, but elect, precious with God;
(1Pet 2:5) you also = as living stones = are built up a spiritual house, a holy priesthood, to offer up spiritual sacrifices = acceptable to God through Jesus Christ.

*** (Romans 6:16) Do you not know that = to whom you yield yourselves as slaves for obedience, = you are slaves to him whom you obey; = whether it is of sin to death, = or of obedience to righteousness.

About ‘Now’… one can readily see that “True Biblical Repentance”… is an ‘on-going’ Spiritual process in the lives of those, “Truly Born Again!” He, “Christ”… lives out His life and His Word… through us. We become “Living Words”… to a dying ‘religious and profane’ world. Others see either ‘US’… or they ‘See’… “Christ In US!” Not only in our ‘actions and motivations’, but in our spoken word. His witnesses are those of US… that testify to the Truth of His Holy Word. Those that are “Not HIS”… “Hate His Word!” Plain and simple…!

*** (John 3:19-20-21) And this is the condemnation, that the Light has come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than the Light, because their deeds were evil.
(John 3:20) For everyone who does evil hates the Light [Word], and does not come to the Light, lest his deeds should be exposed.
(John 3:21) But he who practices Truth comes to the Light so that his works may be revealed, that they exist, having been worked in God.

*** (John 15:18-to-22) If the world hates you, you know that it hated Me [Jesus] before it hated you.
(John 15:19) If you were of the world, the world would love its own. But because you are not of the world, but I [Jesus] have chosen you out of the world, therefore the world hates you.
(John 15:20) Remember the Word that I [Jesus] said to you, The servant is not greater than his master. If they have persecuted Me, they will also persecute you. If they have kept My saying, they will also keep yours.
(John 15:21) But all these things they will do to you for My name's sake, because they do not know Him [God] who sent Me [Jesus].
(John 15:22) If I [Jesus] had not come and spoken to them, = they would not have had sin; = but now they have = no excuse = for their sin.

Truly… “Biblical Repentance”… is an ‘on-going’ process of maturing… in those “Born Again”… by His Holy Spirit… ‘Sealed’ until the day of redemption!

“Repentance – 303”…Blog. [3/?]

“Repentance – 303”…Blog. [3/?]

What about the ‘NT Christian’… and “Repentance?” When one is truly Born Again by the Holy Spirit of God are they required to be of a ‘Repent Spirit?’ Many simply state… “We are under Grace and ‘Not’ under the Law!” Is that True… or is it a ‘misunderstanding’ of the Scriptures… on their part? How long have you claimed… “Christ Jesus”… as your “Lord & Savior?” Did you notice I did not say; how long have you been a Christian? “Many”, who say they are Christian… simply are ‘not’, just as ‘Jesus’ said in… “Matthew 7:21-22-23.”

*** (Matthew 12:33) "Either make the tree good and its fruit good, or make the tree rotten and its fruit rotten. For a tree is known by its fruit.

*** (James 3:10-11-12) Out of the same mouth proceeds blessing and cursing. My brothers, these things ought not to be so.
(Jas 3:11) Does a fountain send forth at the same hole the sweet and the bitter?
(Jas 3:12) Can the fig tree, my brothers, bear olive berries; or a vine, figs? So no fountain can yield both salt water and fresh.

*** (Luke 6:46) "Why do you keep calling Me [Jesus] 'Lord, Lord,' but don't do what I tell you?

http://truth459.blogspot.com/2009/08/grace-away-sin-101blog.html

About now… one may question what the Bible really teaches about “Repentance?” Simply as previously stated; “Repentance is a change of mind that is followed by a change in actions!” If you actions ‘do not’ change and/or restitution is ‘not’ made; then it ‘cannot’ be “True Biblical Repentance!” Is short… IF: you do not Stop Committing that Sin… THEN: you have not truly repented! Do the Scriptures bear this Truth out in ‘both’ the OT & NT…?

*** (Proverbs 28:13) He who covers his sins shall not be blessed; but whoever confesses and leaves them shall have mercy.

*** (Jonah 2:8) They that observe lying vanities forsake their own mercy.

*** (Luke 3:8-to-14) Produce fruit [actions] that is consistent with repentance! Don't begin to say to yourselves, 'We have Abraham for our forefather.' For I tell you that God can raise up descendants for Abraham from these stones!
(Luke 3:9) The ax already lies against the roots of the trees. So every tree not producing good fruit will be cut down and thrown into a fire."
(Luke 3:10) The crowds kept asking him, "What, then, should we do?"
(Luke 3:11) He answered them, "The person who has two coats must share with the one who doesn't have any, and the person who has food must do the same."
(Luke 3:12) Even some tax collectors came to be baptized. They asked him, "Teacher, what should we do?"
(Luke 3:13) He told them, "Stop collecting more money than the amount you are told to collect."
(Luke 3:14) Even some soldiers were asking him, "And what should we do?" He told them, "Never extort money from anyone by threats or blackmail, and be satisfied with your pay."

After reading these Bible verses… one can readily see that a definite “Change in Actions”… follows that ‘true’ change of mind and heart. The Bible is ‘replete’ with such verses, but most preachers ‘never’ speak such things from the pulpit. A true change of mind is always reflected in a change of actions. Did you know that Jesus even ‘evaluated and validated’ such actions? Many do not study the Word to learn God’s Truths. They would rather be ‘spoon fed’ instead of being responsible to God alone. Say it isn’t so…? How then did America get in to such ‘degenerate’ Spiritual, Moral and Social condition… when so very many claim to be Christian…?

*** (Luke 19:7-to-10) But all the people who saw this began to complain, saying, "He went to be the guest of a notorious sinner!"
(Luke 19:8) Zacchaeus stood up and said to the Lord, "Lord, I'll give half of my possessions to the poor. I'll pay four times as much as I owe if I have cheated anyone in any way."
(Luke 19:9) Then Jesus said to him, "Today salvation has come to this home, because he, too, is a descendant of Abraham.
(Luke 19:10) For the Son of Man has come to seek and to save the lost."

*** (Ephesians 4:28-29-30) Let him who stole steal no more, but rather let him labor, working with his hands the thing which is good, so that he may have something to give to him who needs.
(Eph 4:29) Let not any filthy word go out of your mouth, but if any is good to building up in respect of need, that it may give grace to the ones hearing.
(Eph 4:30) And do not grieve the Holy Spirit of God, by Whom you are sealed until the day of redemption.

*** (Romans 13:9) For: "Do not commit adultery; do not murder; do not steal; do not bear false witness; do not lust;" and if there is any other commandment, it is summed up in this word, "You shall love your neighbor as yourself."

“Hyperbole”:

I am a Christian and work in an accounting firm. I have control of the … ‘Monies & Securities’… for that ‘Firm’. I get tempted and “Steal” some ‘Barer Bonds [Ten Thousand ‘US’ Dollars– 10K].’

Because of the nature of such securities, I get away with it. I am ‘convicted’ in my heart about the “Theft”… and… “Confess it to Jesus!” …I claim… “1John 1:9 – If we confess our sin, He is faithful to forgive us our sins and cleanse us from all unrighteousness.”

Am I… “Then” required to… “Give back the Monies or Securities”…? Please answer this question for yourself. …“Yes” = or = “No”…?

About now… ‘One’ is faced with a quandary. Depending ‘if’ you believe the Bible… or ‘if’ you do not believe the Bible; you answer this question according to your ‘understanding’ of repentance. Just confessing the Sin does not grant you temporal forgiveness. If there are penalties involved, then you must pay them also. No one wants to go to jail, but if you break man’s law, you must. Do you think that God, the God of the Bible… has standards ‘lower’ than that of simple humans? “Absolutely… NOT!” Please read… “Isaiah 55:6-to-11”

*** (Galatians 6:7-8-9) Do not be deceived, God is not mocked. For whatever a man sows, that he also will reap.
(Gal 6:8) For he sowing to his flesh will reap corruption from the flesh. But he sowing to the Spirit will reap life everlasting from the Spirit.
(Gal 6:9) But we should not lose heart in well-doing, for in due season we shall reap, if we do not faint.

*** (1Timothy 5:24-25) Some men's sins are open beforehand, going before to judgment. And some they also follow after.
(1Tim 5:25) Likewise also the good works of some are manifest beforehand, and those who are otherwise cannot be hidden.

*** (Numbers 32:23) But if you will not do so, behold, you have sinned against Jehovah. And be sure your sin will find you out.

About now… one can plainly see from the Scriptures, that ‘accountability’ is required for the “True Believer”. Yes, our eternal rewards are dependent on our ‘obedience’ to the Holy Word of God. In this age of ‘license & promiscuity’… there is very little accountability to ‘any’ authority figure. Parents try to be ‘friends’ with their children; thus bring them up with ‘wants’ rather than ‘accountability!’ That is reflected in both the parent and child and their ‘interactions’ in society. The ‘Entitlement Mentality’… has replaced the ‘Servants Mentality’.

*** (Matthew 23:11-12) But he who is greatest among you shall be your servant.
(Matt 23:12) And whoever shall exalt himself shall be abased, and he who shall humble himself shall be exalted.

*** (Luke 17:10) So likewise you, when ye shall have done all those things which are commanded you, say, “We are unprofitable servants: we have done that which was our ‘duty’ to do.”

*** (Romans 6:1-2) What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin, that grace may abound?
(Rom 6:2) God forbid. How shall we, that are dead to sin, live any longer therein?

*** (Romans 6:16) Don't you know that when you offer yourselves to someone as obedient slaves, you are slaves of the one you obey-either of sin, which leads to death, or of obedience, which leads to righteousness?

http://truth459.blogspot.com/2009/08/isnt-it-about-time-101.html

Once Again… “True Biblical Repentance”… is followed by the ‘corresponding actions’, at any cost you one’s self. Those that ‘keep on sinning’ and ‘practicing that sin’… really do now know, “Christ Jesus as their – Lord & Savior!” Obedience always has a cost to one’s self and the appropriate blessings ‘or’ consequences. But they will never even come close to the Price Paid… for our redemption in Christ, and what He paid for our redemption…!

*** (Hebrews 9:14-15) how much more will the blood of Christ, Who through the eternal Spirit offered himself without sin to God, cleanse our consciences from dead works so that we may serve the living God!
(Heb 9:15) This is why he is the mediator of a new covenant; so that those who are called may receive the eternal inheritance promised them, since a death has occurred that redeems them from the offenses committed under the first covenant.

*** (1Corinthians 6:18-19-20) Keep on running away from sexual immorality. Any other sin that a person commits is outside his body, but the person who sins sexually sins against his own body.
(1Cor 6:19) You know that your body is a sanctuary of the Holy Spirit who is in you, Whom you have received from God, don't you? You do not belong to yourselves,
(1Cor 6:20) because you were bought for a price. Therefore, glorify God with your bodies.

“Repentance – 202”…Blog [2/?]

“Repentance – 202”…Blog [2/?]

Continuing with “Repentance”… the question ‘bids’ for an answer, “Who then, needs to Repent?” Absolutely ‘Everyone’… “No Exceptions!” Right away someone will ask… ‘What about the heathen in foreign lands who never heard the Gospel?’ Had God, the God of the Bible given them a witness about Himself? “Absolutely Yes!” IF He provides salvation for ‘All’, through the Finished Work of “Christ Jesus”… then “ALL”… need this “Savior”, for there is “None Other!”

*** (Acts 4:10-11-12) be it known to you ‘all’, and to ‘all’ the people of Israel, that by the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, whom you crucified, whom God raised from the dead, in this name does this man stand before you whole.
(Acts 4:11) This is the Stone which you builders have counted worthless, and He has become the Head of the Corner.
(Acts 4:12) And there is salvation in no other One; for there is no other name under Heaven given among men by which we must be saved.

*** (Psalms 98:2-3) Jehovah has made known His salvation; His righteousness He has unveiled to the eyes of the nations [Gentiles].
(Psalms 98:3) He has remembered His mercy and His truth toward the house of Israel; ‘all’ the ends of the earth have seen the salvation of Jehovah.

*** (Psalms 19:1-2-2) To the Chief Musician. A Psalm of David. The heavens declare the glory of God; and the expanse proclaims His handiwork.
(Psalms 19:2) Day to day pours forth speech, and night to night reveals knowledge.
(Psalms 19:3) There is no speech nor are there words; their voice is not heard.

Everyone is “Without Excuse!” Inherently, all know “Good from Evil!” A child does ‘not’ have to be taught to lie, to steal or to cheat. It is part of our sin nature. But each one does ‘know’, right from wrong. The human laws of a nation are only a ‘mere reflection’ of the ‘Righteousness of God’. Once again, ‘IF’ someone steals from you, ‘Then’ why else would you get indignant? ‘Right and Wrong’… are universal “Truths”.

*** (Romans 2:14-15) For when the nations [Gentiles], who do not have the Law, do by nature the things of the Law, these, not having the Law, are a law unto themselves;
(Rom 2:15) who show the work of the Law written in their hearts, their conscience also bearing witness, and the thoughts between one another accusing or even excusing one another,

*** (Romans 1:18-19-20) For God's wrath is being revealed from heaven against all the ungodliness and wickedness of those who in their wickedness suppress the truth.
(Rom 1:19) =For what can be known about God is plain to them, because God Himself has made it plain to them.
(Rom 1:20) =For since the creation of the world his invisible attributes-his eternal power and divine nature-have been understood and observed by what he made, so that people are without excuse.

*** (2Chronicles 6:32-33) And also to the ‘stranger’ who is not of Your people Israel, but has come from a far country for Your great name's sake, and Your mighty hand, and Your stretched out arm, if they come and pray in this house;
(2Chron 6:33) then hear from Heaven, from Your dwelling-place, and do according to all that the stranger calls to You for, so that all people of the earth may know Your name, and fear You, as Your people Israel, and may know that this house which I have built is called by Your name.

“Each” one of us… and “Everyone” of us, have sinned against God! But is His ‘Grace & Mercy’ He has provided salvation. Yes even the OT ‘Jew’ and the ‘Stranger’… knew that God, the Only God, Who created all mankind, would require an accounting. The Mercy of God was even known among those Gentile nations of the past. So much more today, as modern mankind has feebly attempted to dismiss God. Each one will give an account of… ‘himself or herself’… to God!

*** (2Peter 3:9) The Lord is not slow concerning His promise, as some count slowness, but is long-suffering toward us, not purposing that ‘any’ should perish, but that ‘all’ should come to “Repentance”.

*** (Acts 17:30) Truly, then, God overlooking the times of ignorance, now He strictly commands ‘all’ men everywhere ‘to Repent’,

*** (2Timothy 2:25-26) in meekness instructing those who oppose, if perhaps God will give them repentance to the acknowledging of the Truth,
(2Tim 2:26) and that they awake out of the snare of the Devil, having been taken captive by him, so as to do the will of that one.

*** (1Kings 18:37) Hear me, O Jehovah, hear me, that this people may know that You are Jehovah God, and that You have turned their heart back again.

*** (Proverbs 21:1) The king's heart is in the hand of Jehovah as the rivers of water; He turns it wherever He will.

One Thing” that God ‘cannot’ do… is to ‘violate’ the “Free Will of Mankind!” To Love God is a choice, not something that is forced. God simply presents His… “Love, Mercy & Grace”… to mankind and allows ‘them alone’ to make the choice. God never forces Himself or His Word upon everyone. But He does require responsibility for ‘those’ decisions. If He did not require such responsibility, He then could not be a just God. One Way… Christ Jesus… is the only way for all! He simply offers… Everyone Repentance… but Most, simply Refuse!

*** (Exodus 8:32) And Pharaoh hardened his heart at this time also, neither would he let the people go.

*** (Exodus 9:34-35) And when Pharaoh saw that the rain and the hail and the thunders had ceased, he sinned still more and hardened his heart, he and his servants.
(Exodus 9:35) And the heart of Pharaoh was hardened, neither would he let the sons of Israel go, even as Jehovah had spoken by Moses.

*** (2Chronicles 36:11-12-13) Zedekiah was twenty-one years old when he began to reign, and he reigned eleven years in Jerusalem.
(2Chron 36:12) And he did the evil in the sight of Jehovah his God. He was not humbled before Jeremiah the prophet, from the mouth of Jehovah.
(2Chron 36:13) And he also rebelled against King Nebuchadnezzar, who had made him swear by God. But he stiffened his neck and hardened his heart from turning to Jehovah, the God of Israel.

*** (Deuteronomy 2:30) But Sihon king of Heshbon would not let us pass by him. For Jehovah your God hardened his spirit and made his heart stubborn so that He might deliver him into your hand, as it is this day.

*** (1Samuel 15:23) For rebellion is as the sin of witchcraft, and stubbornness is as iniquity and idol-worship. Because you have rejected the Word of Jehovah, He has also rejected you from being king!

In each of these ‘Circumstances’… God ‘First’; offered His, Mercy, Grace & Love! As it is rejected, ‘hardness of heart’ takes over and more refusal. So it is today as it was then. God has give mankind… throughout all the ages, “Free Will”. Mankind has simply chosen to go his own way. In order to be just… God has offered… “Salvation to ‘all’ mankind”. They have simply “Refused God” In tern that rebellion against God, has left them to that “Satanic Rebellion” common to all mankind. IF you choose “Not to Obey”… those in ‘authority’ over you… “How then can you obey God?” Someone always has to be “Boss!”

*** (1Kings 22:20-to-23) And Jehovah said, Who shall entice Ahab that he may go up and fall at Ramoth in Gilead? And one said this way, and another said that way.
(1Ki 22:21) And there came forth a spirit and stood before Jehovah and said, I will entice him.
(1Ki 22:22) And Jehovah said to him, With what? And he said, I will go forth and will be a lying spirit in the mouth of all his prophets. And He said, You shall entice him and succeed also. Go forth and do so.
(1Ki 22:23) And now, behold, Jehovah has permitted a lying spirit in the mouth of all these your prophets, and Jehovah has spoken evil concerning you.

*** (Luke 4:6-7-8) And the Devil said to Him [Jesus], All this power I will give you, and the glory of them; for it has been delivered to me. And I give it to whomever I will.
(Luke 4:7) Therefore if you will worship me, all shall be yours.
(Luke 4:8) And Jesus answered and said to him, Get behind me, Satan! For it is written, "You shall worship the Lord your God, and Him only shall you serve."

*** (1John 2:15-16-17) Do not love the world, nor the things in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him,
(1Jn 2:16) because all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world.
(1Jn 2:17) And the world passes away, and the lust of it, but he who does the will of God abides forever.

*** (Luke 16:13) "No servant can serve two masters. For either he will hate one and love the other, or be loyal to one and despise the other. You cannot serve God and riches!"

Simply Put… You either serve “Yourself”… or you serve “God and His Word!” You have been offered both… “Salvation and Repentance!” You make that choice, and your choice determines your heart either… Towards God or Against God… and His Word, the Bible. There is no middle ground. Each time you reject “God’s Truth”… your heart gets “Hardened!” Soon you will get to the point, that you will no longer be free to make that ‘choice’…!

*** (Hebrews 3:12-to-19) See to it, my brothers, that no evil, unbelieving heart is found in any of you, as shown by your turning away from the living God.
(Heb 3:13) Instead, continue to encourage one another every day, as long as it is called "Today," so that none of you may be hardened by the deceitfulness of sin.
(Heb 3:14) For we are Christ's partners only if we hold on to our original confidence to the end.
(Heb 3:15) As it is said, "Today, if you hear his voice, do not harden your hearts as they did when they provoked me."
(Heb 3:16) Now who heard him and provoked him? Was it not all those who came out of Egypt led by Moses?
(Heb 3:17) And with whom was he angry for forty years? Was it not with those who sinned and whose bodies fell in the wilderness?
(Heb 3:18) And to whom did he swear that they would never enter his rest, if not to those who disobeyed him?
(Heb 3:19) So we see that they were unable to enter because of their unbelief.

Is your hear… ‘Tender’… towards God and His Word… or… “Hardened”…?

“Repentance – 101”…Blog [1/?]

“Repentance – 101”…Blog [1/?]

What is “Repentance”…? Can ‘one’, who is not; Born Again by the Holy Spirit of God… “Repent?” Is Repentance ‘really’ understood by those that call themselves, “Christian?” Can you write out what ‘Repentance’ means or explain what it means to another person, using the Bible? Did Judas really ‘repent’, after he betrayed Christ to those wicked Jews; that had the Romans crucify Him? When you are stopped by a ‘Radar Cop’… and ‘say’ you are Sorry… is that really, “Repentance?”

*** (Luke 13:2-to-5) And answering, Jesus said to them, Do you suppose that these Galileans were sinners above all the Galileans because they suffered such things?
(Luke 13:3) I tell you, No. But unless you repent, you will all likewise perish.
(Luke 13:4) Or those eighteen on whom the tower in Siloam fell and killed them, do you think that they were sinners above all men who lived in Jerusalem?
(Luke 13:5) I tell you, No. But unless you repent, you will all likewise perish.

*** (Acts 17:30-31-32) Truly, then, God overlooking the times of ignorance, now He strictly commands all men everywhere to “Repent”,
(Acts 17:31) because He has appointed a day in which He is going to judge the world in righteousness by a Man whom He appointed, having given proof to all by raising Him from the dead.
(Acts 17:32) And hearing of a resurrection of the dead, some indeed mocked; and others said, we will hear you again concerning this.

Knowing ‘about’ Jesus… is “Not” the same as… “Knowing Jesus!” In China with its 2.5 billion people, Christmas is their second largest holiday. Surely most ‘do not’ know Jesus! Knowing about ‘right & wrong’… is ‘not’ the same as doing right. One is ‘only’ a head belief and the other is obedience to God and to His Holy Word. Many of the religious Jews of Jesus’ day, ‘knew about’ God and His Word… but many ‘did not’… live out His Word.

*** (James 1:22) Keep on being doers of the Word, and ‘not’ merely hearers who deceive themselves.

*** (Luke 6:46) And why do you call Me [Jesus] Lord, Lord, and do not do what I say?

*** (John 15:9-10-11) As the Father [God] has loved Me [Jesus], so I have loved you; continue in My love.
(John 15:10) If you keep My commandments, you shall abide in My love, even as I have kept My Father's commandments and abide in His love.
(John 15:11) I have spoken these things to you so that My joy might remain in you and your joy might be full.

In the Bible… the NT and the OT, the word Repentance has a different meaning than the common understanding by most. It is a different as ‘really’ knowing God… as ‘knowing about’ God! The word “Repent” in the Greek NT is a word defined by… “Changing one’s mind = with a ‘corresponding’ = change of actions!” IF you steal and repent and steal again, did you really repent… the first time? Absolutely not, for there is “NO” change of …‘Heart & Mind & Actions!’

*** (1Kings 15:11-12-13) And Asa did what was right in the eyes of Jehovah, as David his father did.
(1Ki 15:12) And he took away the sodomites out of the land and removed all the idols that his fathers had made.
(1Ki 15:13) And also he even removed his mother Maachah from being queen because she had made an idol in a grove. And Asa destroyed her idol and burned it by the torrent Kidron.

*** (John 8:10-11) And bending back up, and seeing no one but the woman, Jesus said to her, Woman, where are the ones who accused you? Did not one give judgment against you?
(John 8:11) And she said, No one, Lord. And Jesus said to her, Neither do I give judgment. Go, and sin no more.

http://truth459.blogspot.com/2009/06/entrapment-101blog.html

Obviously Asa… who had a relationship with God and His Word… demoted his very own mother from being queen. Her heathen idol practices had not part in the Kingdom of Israel. When one really knows and obeys God, there are always some tough choices to be made, even with family members. How serious is your relationship with Jesus? It is enough to obey His Word, no matter what the consequences? That obedience is a demonstration of True Biblical Repentance.

*** (Luke 14:26-27) If anyone comes to Me and does not hate his father and mother and wife and children and brothers and sisters, yes, and his own life also, he cannot be My disciple.
(Luke 14:27) And whoever does not bear his cross and come after Me, he cannot be My disciple.

*** (Luke 16:13) "No servant can serve two masters. For either he will hate one and love the other, or be loyal to one and despise the other. You cannot serve God and riches!"

*** (2John 1:9-10-11) Everyone who does not abide in the teaching of Christ but goes beyond it does not have God. The person who abides in the teaching of Christ has both the Father and the Son.
(2Jn 1:10) If anyone comes to you and does not bring this teaching, do not take him into your home or even greet him,
(2Jn 1:11) for the one who greets him shares in his evil deeds.

*** (1Corinthians 5:9-10-11) I wrote to you in my letter to stop associating with people who are sexually immoral-
(1Cor 5:10) not at all meaning the people of this world who are immoral, or greedy people, robbers, or idolaters. In that case you would have to leave this world.
(1Cor 5:11) But now I am writing to you to stop associating with any so-called brother if he is sexually immoral, greedy, an idolater, a slanderer, a drunk, or a robber. With such a person you must even stop eating.

Whose side are you… really on? You say you ‘Love Jesus’… yet you are torn between… obeying Him and His Word; and ‘some’ family members. Yes, even those that say they are Christian and still practice immorality, greed, stealing, drinking, adultery and idolatry. Yet Jesus is quite ‘emphatic’, as stated in His Word, posted above. About now, someone is saying, “But HOW… will I be a good witness, to those that are without Christ?” Did you notice the Word says… but if one is a “So-Called Brother [Christian]”… and practices ‘those things’.

*** (1Peter 4:1-to-5) Therefore, since Christ suffered in the sphere of the flesh, you, too, must arm yourselves with the same determination. For the person who has suffered in the sphere of the flesh has stopped sinning,
(1Pet 4:2) so that he can live the rest of his time in the flesh guided, not by human desires, but by the will of God.
(1Pet 4:3) For you spent enough time in the past doing what the gentiles like to do, living in sensuality, sinful desires, drunkenness, wild celebrations, drinking parties, and detestable idolatry.
(1Pet 4:4) They insult you now because they are surprised that you are no longer joining them in the same excesses of wild living.
(1Pet 4:5) They will give an account to the one who is ready to judge the living and the dead.

“Repentance” for the ‘True Believer’… is simply choosing… “Whose Side ‘you’ are On?” If you truly are a ‘Disciple of Christ’, then there is a cost for that “Fellowship / Discipleship!” Do you remember the First Commandment? If Jesus is LORD… serve Him! But if you put your ‘friends’… before ‘Him’ and ‘Obedience’ to His Holy Word… “He is truly ‘Not Lord’ in your life!” That is what the Word says, or do you read something different…? Salvation is pictured in the marriage relationship. That same… ‘Faithfulness’… is expected and requited… by both parties.

*** (Ephesians 5:28-to-33) In the same way, husbands must love their wives as they love their own bodies. A man who loves his wife loves himself.
(Eph 5:29) For no one has ever hated his own body, but he nourishes and tenderly cares for it, as Christ does the church.
(Eph 5:30) For we are parts of his body-of his flesh and of his bones.
(Eph 5:31) "That is why a man will leave his father and mother and be united with his wife, and the two will become one flesh."
(Eph 5:32) This is a great mystery, but I am talking about Christ and the church.
(Eph 5:33) But each individual man among you must love his wife as he loves himself; and may the wife reverence her husband.

*** (Mark 12:28-to-31) And coming up one of the scribes heard them reasoning, knowing that He had answered them well, he asked Him, Which is the first commandment of all?
(Mark 12:29) And Jesus answered him, The first of all the commandments is, "Hear, O Israel, the Lord our God is one Lord;
(Mark 12:30) and you shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your mind, and with all your strength." This is the first commandment.
(Mark 12:31) And the second is like this: You shall love your neighbor as yourself. There is no other commandment greater than these.

*** (Zephaniah 1:4-5-6) I [God] will also stretch out My hand on Judah and on all the people of Jerusalem. And I will cut off the remnant of Baal from this place, the name of the idol-worshipers, with the priests,
(Zeph 1:5) and those bowing to the host of heaven on the housetops, and those bowing, = swearing to Jehovah, = also swearing by Malcham;
(Zeph 1:6) and those drawing back from Jehovah, and who have not sought Jehovah, nor asked for Him.

Knowing first, “WHO”… you love & serve, will help you ‘First’ to understand what “Repentance” is all about. “Repent from What…?” Continued in the following parts…!

... IF you were ‘not’ caught in a Lie… is it ‘the same’… as telling the Truth?

“Jealousy – 101”…Blog.

“Jealousy – 101”…Blog.

“He that dies with the most Toys… Wins!” Doesn’t that ‘really’ sound silly? In reality that is what much of life is all about. Whoever said that, didn’t realize… “What you Own, Owns You!” The more you have, the more you have ‘to take care of’. Of courses that kind of fantasy always has someone that gets caught in its trap. Remember when Cell Phones first came out? Only the very wealthy could afford them. Now they are so very common place, one can hardly find a “Public Phone”… anywhere any more.

*** (1Timothy 6:6-7-8) But godliness with contentment is great gain.
(1Tim 6:7) For we brought nothing into the world, and it is clear that we can carry nothing out.
(1Tim 6:8) But having food and clothing, we will be content.

*** (Proverbs 27:4-5-6) Wrath is cruel, and anger is overwhelming; but who is able to stand before envy?
(Pro 27:5) Open rebuke is better than secret love.
(Pro 27:6) Faithful are the wounds of a friend; but the kisses of an enemy are deceitful.

*** (Romans 7:7) What should we say, then? Is the law sinful? Of course not! In fact, I wouldn't have known sin if it had not been for the law. For I wouldn't have known what it means to covet if the law had not said, "You must not covet."

What is the ‘Root of Jealousy’…? Could it be as simple as… “Not Being Thankful?” We are constantly being ‘besieged’ with advertisements about this or that. In an hour of television programming, there is ‘over 20-minutes’ of advertizing. I often use the ‘mute button’ to block out the noise babbling. New this or that, better this or that… makes one ‘unthankful’ for what they now have. I find that… “Thankfulness for what we have”… will solve most of life’s problems. Remember we are “NOT” guaranteed, health, wealth or even continued gainful employment.

*** (James 1:17) Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above and comes down from the Father of lights, with whom is no variableness nor shadow of turning.

*** (Luke 14:28-29-30) For which of you, intending to build a tower, does not sit down first and count the cost, whether he may have enough to finish it;
(Luke 14:29) lest perhaps, after he has laid the foundation and is not able to finish, all those seeing begin to mock him,
(Luke 14:30) saying, This man began to build and was not able to finish.

*** (Job 2:9-10) And his wife said to him, Do you still hold to your integrity? Curse God and die!
(Job 2:10) But he said to her, You speak as one of the foolish ones speak. What? Shall we receive good at the hand of God, and shall we not receive evil? In all this Job did not sin with his lips.

Did you notice… the ‘diamonds’ photo at the top of this Blog? If you are married or engaged… you have at one time, examined diamonds. No, the size and the quality of that diamond was not an evaluation of your mate’s love. “True Love” cannot be measured in diamond size, quality, clarity or carrot weight. It is simply what your fiancĂ©e could afford at the time. The real question is are you… “Thankful”… for the one you received or maybe even… ‘didn’t’ receive? Once again, can love be measured with gold or diamonds?

*** (1Thessaloninans 5:18) In everything give thanks, for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you.

… I cried because I had ‘no shoes’… then I saw a man that had ‘no feet!’

The Next Time… You are jealous, simply think about King Solomon. He had all the wealth, wisdom, fame and wives [700 wives + 300 concubines]… and He was “NOT Content!” Even with all his God given wisdom; he disobeyed the Word of the Lord… “Deuteronomy 17:14-to-20”. He built heathen temples for his wives, heathen gods; which caused Israel to sin for generations; long after his death. Even with all he had he was still jealous… for those things that meant ‘Nothing!’

*** (1Kings 11:3-4) And he had seven hundred wives, princesses, and three hundred concubines. And his wives turned away his heart.
(1Kin 11:4) For it happened when Solomon was old, his wives turned away his heart after other gods. And his heart was not perfect with Jehovah his God, as was the heart of David his father.

*** (Ecclesiastes 1:2) Vanity of vanities, says the preacher, vanity of vanities! All is vanity.

*** (2Chronicles 1:14-15) And Solomon gathered chariots and horsemen. And he had a thousand and four hundred chariots, and twelve thousand horsemen which he placed in the chariot cities, and with the king at Jerusalem.
(2Ch 1:15) And the king made silver and gold at Jerusalem like stones, and he made cedar trees as plentiful as the sycamore trees in the valley.

When you think about ‘Wealth’… what do you think about? It is ‘not’ possessions, nor is it fame. It is not in the things we own, our investments and properties. It is ‘not’ in our families or our children either, as some may think. Our wealth, may I suggest… our “True Wealth”… is our relationship with God, through Christ Jesus, as we have been Born Again, by His Holy Spirit. That in itself… is the greatest wealth, above and beyond… anything here on earth!

*** (Luke 16:10-to-13) Whoever is faithful with very little is also faithful with a lot, and whoever is dishonest with very little is also dishonest with a lot.
(Luke 16:11) So if you have not been faithful with unrighteous riches, who will trust you with “TRUE RICHES?”
(Luke 16:12) And if you have not been faithful with what belongs to foreigners, who will give you what is your own?
(Luke 16:13) "No servant can serve two masters. For either he will hate one and love the other, or be loyal to one and despise the other. You cannot serve God and riches!"

*** (Psalms 25:14) The secret of the LORD is with them that fear him; and he will show them His covenant.

*** (Psalms 147:11) Jehovah takes pleasure in those who fear Him, who hope in His mercy.

*** (Luke 17:10) So likewise you, when ye shall have done all those things which are commanded you, say, “We are unprofitable servants: we have done that which was our duty to do.”

What more can anyone say…? “Thankfulness” is the cure for the common problem of all mankind. Knowing God and realizing that ‘all’… comes from Him, will eliminate that “Green Eye of Jealousy”. On my birthday, my sister always buys me a “Lottery Ticket!” She knows that I do not gamble and always asks me, “Well Did you Win?” My reply is simply this… “No I did NOT”… God knows that I ‘cannot’… handle 50-million dollars! … LOL!

*** (Proverbs 30:7-8-9) I have asked two things from You; do not deny them before I die;

(Pro 30:8) remove far from me vanity and a lying word; give me neither poverty or riches; tear for me my portion of bread,
(Pro 30:9) lest I be full and deceive, and say, Who is Jehovah? Or lest I be poor, and steal, and violate the name of my God.
