“The Word [Law] of God – 601”…Blog. Part: “SIX”.
In the last… discussion I shared some of the Covenant Names of God. His character and His Holiness is at issue here. Many relate to God, as they do to another human being. God is nothing like that. He is Not… Santa Clause… as He is often treated so. Many have not looked for God, in His Word… The Bible.
(Numbers 23:19) God = is not a man = that He should = Lie, = neither = the son of man = that He should repent. = Has He said, = and = shall He not do it? = Or has He spoken, = and = shall He not make it good?
Have you ever Lied…? Before you answer, I will tell you that I have. I am the first one to admit that I have in the past. Each and every one of US… ‘Have Lied’. It is part and parcel of our human nature. Since I have become a Born Again Christian… I have endeavored… by the Grace of God… “Not To Lie!” Yes it has always been my choice… to Lie or… to tell the Truth. But now that I have been redeemed by the Christ Jesus, I owe it to Him… to be as He is… in complete Truth.
Just how valid… is the Word of God? Does God speak His Words… as glibly as we humans speak? Our speech is often veiled in our… “Agendas of Life”. Most of us, want to accomplish a need or want. We will go to great lengths to accomplish that goal. The housing crisis has come about because many have… purchased houses… that they could not afford. Their agenda… has brought shame not only on themselves… but on all of society. Most have excused… “Personal Accountability”. But…God has Not!
(Isaiah 55:6-to-11) Seek Jehovah = while He = may be found; = call on Him = while He is near.
(Isa 55:7) Let the wicked = forsake his way, = and = the unrighteous man = his thoughts; = and = let him = return to Jehovah, = and = He will have mercy on him; = and to our God, = for He = will abundantly pardon.
(Isa 55:8) For = My thoughts = are not = your thoughts, = nor = your ways = My ways, = says Jehovah.
(Isa 55:9) For as = the heavens are higher = than the earth, = so are = My ways = higher = than your ways, = and = My thoughts = than = your thoughts.
(Isa 55:10) For as the rain comes down, = and = the snow from the heavens, = and = does not return there, = but waters the earth, = and makes it bring out = and bud, = and give seed to the sower = and bread to the eater;
(Isa 55:11) so shall = My Word = be, = which goes out of = My mouth; = it shall not = return = to Me = void, = but it shall = accomplish = what I please, = and = it shall certainly do = what = I sent it = to do.
During this past month… the USA celebrated the 40th anniversary of man walking on the moon. Those pictures of the earth sent back and the current ones we have from the Space Shuttle are a simple ‘word picture’ of the above verses. God’s Words and God’s Thoughts… are higher than ours could ever be. The heavens are higher than the earth as… His Word… is higher than our words or thoughts. How then could mankind think, that they know better than God?
It is just plain Silliness… to imagine that we could even come close to God’s Wisdom in the things we do about life. He has given us in His Word… ‘The principles of Life’… so that we can lead productive lives that would glorify Him. Most have rejected “His Word”… and so… depend on their own ways. We have made a complete mess of our… “Financial Productions and Security”…with this Government Bail Out. Never will we Recover… from this Mess!
(Luke 4:4) And Jesus answered = him [Satan], = saying, = It is written that = "man shall not live by bread alone, = but = by every Word of God."
Most of us… have learned some Life Principles from our parents. Some have not applied them to their lives. We have to have… a particular car or house or have a special job… as part of our self esteem. Phooey! That kind of thinking is like that old saying… “Clothes make the Man”… so we too have taken to ourselves, such nonsense. Your “Inner Character”… is what makes you! My mother, when she was alive, wanted to buy me a new suit. I told her… ‘Only if is an… Armani!’ After seeing the price and gasping… I told her… I do not really need a new suit.
(John 15:3) Now = you = are clean = through = the Word = which I [Jesus] = have spoken = to you.
(James 1:22) Keep on being = Doers of the Word, = and = not merely hearers = who = Deceive = themselves.
Our Inner Character… can change when we have become Born Again by the Holy Spirit of God. He takes His Word… to be amplified by that Indwelling Holy Spirit… to have us Live out His Word… in our Lives. As He is living in us… we then do those things… that are Right in His Sight! We take on… His Character and His Mind… and change our lives… from the Inside to the Outside… to conform to His Word. We become… “His Word Pictures”… for Him.
Perhaps that is why… there are thousands of verses that tell us how to live. The Word of God… should now: “Take Precedence in our Lives”. We are no longer driven by the World, The Flesh and the Devil. Our Godly Perspective of passing things… causes us to have our ‘Focus and Agenda’… on those things of God and His Word. Your Character… changes You on the Inside…when you come in obedience… to the Word of God!
(Ephesians 4:28-29) The thief = must no longer = steal = but must work hard = and = do what is good = with his own hands, = so that he = might have something to give = to the needy.
(Eph 4:29) Let no filthy talk = come out of your mouths, = but only = what is good = for building up = as the need may be. = This way = you will give grace = to those = who hear you.
(1Corinthians 6:9-10-11) You know that = wicked people = will not inherit = the kingdom of God, = don't you? = Stop deceiving yourselves! = Sexually immoral people, = idolaters, = adulterers, = male prostitutes, = homosexuals,
(1Co 6:10) thieves, = greedy people, = drunks, = slanderers, = and robbers = will not inherit = the kingdom of God.
(1Co 6:11) That is what = some of you = were! = But = you were washed, = you were sanctified, = you were justified = in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ = and = in the Spirit of our God.
Could it be any Plainer…? The salvation offered in Christ Jesus is available without cost to all that will come to Him! The change that takes place is in… “Your Heart!” You then want to please God… in the ‘Keeping of His Word’. It takes the place of… all those things… you once did… in you blindness and ignorance. Your mind and heart are… Transformed into the likeness of Christ Jesus! He now lives in you… and you take His Word as your… “Only”, point of reference.
This inner change… cannot be done by any Religion! It is not some miracle that happens over night either! It is an ongoing process. When you sin, you then, can come before His Throne of Grace and “Confess and Forsake your Sin”. Remember when Christ Jesus died on the Cross… He paid for all Sin… “Past, Present and Future”. Your salvation is based on His Finished Work, by His Death, Burial and Resurrection from the dead… in fulfillment… of the Word of God… “Promised to All”… in the Bible.
(Proverbs 28:13) He who = covers his sins = shall not = be blessed; = but = whoever = confesses = and = leaves them [not to return to them] = shall have mercy.
(1John 1:5-to-10) This is the message = that we have heard = from Him = and = declare to you: = God is light, = and = in Him = there is no darkness = none at all!
(1Jn 1:6) If = we claim = that we have fellowship = with Him = but = keep living in the darkness, = we are Lying = and = the Truth = is not = in us.
(1Jn 1:7) But = if we = keep living in the light = as He Himself = is in the light, = we have fellowship = with one another, = and = the blood of Jesus = His Son = cleanses us = from all sin.
(1Jn 1:8) If we say = that we = do not have any sin, = we are deceiving = ourselves = and = the Truth = is not in us.
(1Jn 1:9) If we make it = our habit = to confess our sins, = He is faithful = and = righteous = to forgive us those sins = and = cleanse us from = all unrighteousness.
(1Jn 1:10) If we say = that we have never sinned, = we make Him = a liar = and = His Word = is not in us.
Now how very Important… does the Word of God = The Law of God = Now seem to You? Has it come as a ‘casual suggestion’ for you… to choose or not to choose? Or is it in fact… Your Life? By the way you conform or not conform to… “The Word of God”… is the evidence of Your Faith! Live the Word of God… ‘By Faith’… ‘In Faith’… and… you cannot go wrong!
Take some time… to re-read over these posts about the Word [Law] of God. I make it a practice to read & study the Word of God, every day. It is a practice that I started as a New Christian… and it has become my lifestyle. When things came upon me… that I did not understand… I simply went to the Word of God… for answers. What things? How about the cancer surgery and radiation treatments…that I had some 9-years ago?
(Job 2:10) But he said to her, = You speak as one of the foolish ones speak. = What? = Shall we receive = Good = at the hand of God, = and = shall we not [also] receive = Evil? = In all this = Job = did not sin = with his lips.
(2Corinthians 12:9-10) but He has told me, = "My grace is all you need, = for My power = is perfected = in [your] weakness." = Therefore, = I will most happily boast = about my weaknesses, = so that Christ's power = may rest on me.
(2Cor 12:10) That is why I = take such pleasure in weaknesses, = insults, = hardships, = persecutions, = and = difficulties for Christ's sake, = for when I am weak, = then I am strong.
The Word of God… simply ‘Has’ a Principle of Life for ‘each and every’ situation of Life. Remember… the Trials of Life… only proves to us… IF we are trusting Him or… Ourselves. The Word is…Better than Gold and Riches… for they are Passing Away. The Word of God… remains Eternal! Imagine in all this Time… God has provided and protected His Word… for All Mankind. But, Most have rejected… ‘IT!’
(Matthew 24:35) The heaven and the earth = shall pass away, = but = My Words = shall not = pass away.
Did you have Breakfast… today? Most of us will have two or three or more meals this day. Most of us will… also snack… in between. How then should we feed our Spiritual Bodies with the Word of God? Once a week, only on Sundays… Just How Often? at least… “daily!”
(2Corinthians 4:16) That's why = we = are not discouraged. = No, = even if = our outer man = is wearing out, = our inner man = is being renewed = day by day.
Are you… who say, your know Jesus… feeding your inner man… on His Word – Daily? If not then you are experiencing… “A Famine of the Soul”. Simply think about it. You may watch videos or TV for “___” -hours a Day? And Only… feeding your Soul… How Often? Perhaps now is the time to make that decision and… Obey the Word of God! That is how… You… Grow in His Grace!
(2Peter 3:18) But = grow in grace = and = in knowledge of our = Lord and Savior = Jesus Christ. = To Him = be the glory, = both now = and = to the day of eternity. = Amen.
