“The Word [Law] of God – 901”… Blog Part: NINE.
“God” = the God of the Bible… reveals Himself through His Word. All you need to know about Him, you may find in His Word! You will not find about Him without His Word. Others may tell you ‘this or that’ about God… but only His Word… will tell you the complete Truth… without personal bias.
(1John 4:16) We have come = to know = and = believe = in the love = that God has for us. = God is love, = and = the person who loves abides in God, = and God abides in him.
I often have others… tell me ‘God is Love’. When I ask them how they know that… they tell me that God says He is so in the above verse. But when I ask, “What are the Other Attributes of God?”… they do not seem to know. For one… “God is Holy!” And another… “God is Just!” And there are… ‘Many More Attributes’… of God revealed in His Word, The Bible.

I often have others… tell me ‘God is Love’. When I ask them how they know that… they tell me that God says He is so in the above verse. (1Peter 1:15-16-17) Instead, = just as the One = Who called you is Holy, = you be Holy = in every aspect = of your life.
(1Pet 1:16) For it is written, = "You must be Holy, = because I [God] = am Holy."
(1Pet 1:17) If you call = "Father" = the One = Who judges everyone = impartially = according to = what he has done, = you must live in = the fear of the Lord = as long as you are strangers here [on earth].
The Word of God… tells you what the “Fear of the Lord [God] is … and now to live Holy! But what is… ‘The Fear of God?’ How do I, understand what… ‘The Fear of God’… really is? Perhaps the simplest way to explain it… is to tell you what He = God… said in His Word!
A simple example… is children. A child will mostly do what they are… ‘Instructed To Do!’ Some children are taught many things about ‘what’ and ‘what not’… to do. Others are left to themselves and do what they want. Some are taught right and wrong… and still rebel against their Authority = i.e. = The parent or parents or the teachers or even the police.
Children will get away… with what they can… “Much like the Adults”. That is so because, they do not see the… “Immediate Consequences”… of their ‘actions and disobedience’. Obedience is the key to a stable society. From the Laws, to the Punishment… society is always sending a message. All of the time it should be… one of justice. Many times is it ‘Not!’ Not so with… God… as His message and response is always… “The Truth”.
(Ecclesiastes 12:13-14) Let us hear = the conclusion = of the whole matter. = Fear God, = and = keep = His commandments. = For this is = the whole duty of mankind.
(Eccl 12:14) Because =God = shall bring = every work [deed] = into judgment, = with = every secret thing, = whether it is good, = or = whether evil.
I have shared these verses… and been told… “God is Unfair!” When I ask, ‘Why’… they respond with… How can I know all of God’s Law and what He wants me to do? I simply say… “God has provided His Son… ‘Christ Jesus’… as the payment for your Failure… to Obey God and His Word!” Their next response is usually… but I do not like religion… because there are so many… “Hypocrites!”
I then tell them… ‘Let God will deal with the Hypocrites’… what about You… and your relationship with God? They usually tell me… I won’t discuss… ‘Politics or Religion!’ Do you realize that… “Not to Decide… is to Decide? Most, like those children I spoke about… want to do their… ‘Own Thing!’ They do not want to have someone tell them… “What they ‘Can’… or… ‘Cannot’ Do!” Just like the song… “You ain’t the Boss of Me now!” The speed limit… is an example of their disobedience even as… Adults!
(Proverbs 16:6) By = mercy and Truth, = iniquity is purged, = and = by = the fear of Jehovah = men turn away = from evil.
(1Timothy 5:24) The sins = of some people = are obvious, = going ahead of them = to judgment. = The sins of others = follow them there.
Do you realize that… “No One gets away with Anything?” All those that have cheated millions on Wall Street and those Drug Deals and those Child Pornographers and The Liars… and All the Rest… will not escape… “The Judgment of God”… for their Deeds! Yes… ‘No One’ gets away with Anything…! Like the saying… “Pay me now or Pay me later… but you will Pay!”
(Hebrews 10:28-to-31) Anyone = who violates = the law of Moses = dies without mercy = "on the testimony of two or three witnesses."
(Heb 10:29) How much more = severe a punishment = do you think = that person deserves = who tramples on = God's Son [Jesus], = treats as common = the blood of the covenant = by which it was sanctified, = and = insults the Spirit of grace?
(Heb 10:30) For we know = the One [God] = Who said, = "Vengeance belongs to Me; = I will pay them back," = and = again, = "The Lord will judge = His people."
(Heb 10:31) It is a terrifying thing = to fall into the hands = of the living God!
The Law given to Israel… had severe consequences! ‘Death for Adultery’ or even for ‘rebellion’ against one’s parents. God had provided His Law and the Consequences for those violations. But He also provided… a sacrificial offering… for those violations. Each sacrifice reminded the person that the Violation of God’s Law… brought Consequences.
When I was a child… I spent one summer reading through some National Geographic magazines. There I saw a… ‘Hand’… on a rope… hanging in the center of a town in the Middle Eastern country. In Saudi Arabia… the thief… paid by losing his… ‘Hand!’ It is not so with the American justice system. But is does teach a lesson… does it not? The consequences of Sin!
How much more… for those that have Rejected… the payment of God’s Son… ‘Christ Jesus’… for their… “Sin/Sins?” You see many think that they have escaped the consequences of their… “Wrongs”… that they believe… that God will… somehow allow them to get away with their Consequences. Not So!
(2Peter 2:9) then the Lord = knows how to rescue = godly people = from their trials = and = to hold = unrighteous people = for punishment = on the day of judgment,
(2Peter 3:9-10) The Lord = is not slow = about His promise, = as some people understand slowness, = but is being patient = with you. = He does not want = anyone = to perish, = but = wants everyone = to come to repentance.
(2Pet 3:10) But = the Day of the Lord = will come like a thief. = On that day = the heavens will disappear = with a roaring sound, = the elements will be destroyed by fire, = and = the earth = and = everything done on it = will be exposed.
When faced with such thoughts… what is your response to God? Will you bow your heart to God? Or will you say… that is ok for you to believe… but I don’t believe that! I do not fear mankind or even God? Is that really so? Do you remember… “9-11”… and the terror you felt… not knowing… where the next attack… would take place? How strange you would fear the Terrorists… and… Not Fear… “God = The God of the Bible?”
You fear the Police officer… that has that Radar Gun! And yet you do not fear God? Criminals fear the Police… because of the ‘Immediate Consequences’. You even fear… “__________” [fill in the Blank]… but you do not… Fear God? How silly is that? And yet you or I… and no one… will escape the consequences of God and His Word.
(Hebrews 9:27) Indeed, = just as people = are appointed = to die once = and = after that = to be judged,
(Revelation 21:8) But the fearful, = and = the unbelieving, = and = the abominable, = and = murderers, = and the sexually immoral, = and = sorcerers, = and = idolaters, = and All Liars, = will have their part = in the Lake burning with fire and brimstone, = which is the second death.
When was the… last time you heard about God’s Judgment of All? Have you ever heard a sermon from the Pulpit of Any Church about this subject? I have been to a few funerals… and have never heard any Preacher speak about this ‘Truth’… to the Living! No one escapes the Judgment of God!
(Galatians 6:7-8) Do not be deceived, = God = will not mocked. = For = whatever a man sows, = that he also will reap.
(Gal 6:8) For he = sowing to his flesh = will reap corruption = from the flesh. = But he sowing = to the Spirit = will reap life everlasting = from the Spirit.
Ok so where… do you go from here? There will be some reading this… that will not finish reading this Blog. Because they are… ‘Blinded by Satan’… they will refuse to read about the Fear of God. That fear is balanced by… His Love & Mercy… for those that will become His Children …by the Finished Work of His Son, “Christ Jesus!” Will you trust Him… for His payment… for Your… “Sin/Sins?” …The Choice is Yours Alone…!
(Romans 10:9-to-13) If you = declare with your mouth that = Jesus is Lord, = and = believe in your heart = that God raised Him = from the dead, = you will be saved.
(Rom 10:10) For a person believes = with his heart = and = is justified, = and a person declares = with his mouth = and is saved.
(Rom 10:11) For the Scripture says, = "Everyone who believes in Him = will not be ashamed."
(Rom 10:12) For there is = no difference = between Jew and Greek, = because = they all = have the same Lord, = Who gives richly = to all = who call on Him.
(Rom 10:13) For = "Everyone = who calls on = the Name of the Lord = will be saved."
